already picked up two.. brass is an excellent metal to plate.. my plans for these are to silver plate then rhodium coat.

I feel that since that part goes through a lot of friction, that you'll wear off your precious metals and pretty much waste your money.

Went to check on compression bands this morning and the brass ones came up, was excited to get a couple as I missed the aluminum ones when they where released, my day got even better when I clicked on the ELA just for the heck of it and it carted one, YES snagged another ELA!!! I'm buying a lottery ticket today.

Some people needed some more replacement compression bands, and we were out of aluminum, but had some brass, so we whipped some up out of brass we had, they are up on the site.

Actually I'm sort of leading the witness here. If not already a "David job" then I will suggest he discuss the idea with David (now done I guess). Personally I think it's a no-go for a couple of reasons. If David buys into it then cool and my assumptions were wrong. The last time I got a little "technical" about an idea I was chastised so I've promised to keep it simple going forward

Just ordered a couple of brass compression rings and a solid brass button. Hopefully, I'll get a shipping notice for my last ELA soon, 1646X.

I've decided what I want for my next ELA. An 18650 ELA with a long body. I still want the lock ring and the easy to change battery, but I used 18650 most of the time and think it would be cool to have a big tube.


Oh, and I still want Knurled accent rings!

Just ordered a couple of brass compression rings

David I own 6 aluminum ELA compression bands, but am still using the original one for 9+ months .... It there an advantage to the BRASS compression bands..... Do they work better or last longer?

Speaking of compression band, David. I sent mine all back to you along with the ELAs. Im hoping with how expensive they are if there is anyway to see if any are still good or can be freshened up and saved. Let me know once you get them. Oh and if you can send me an email with they get to you so I can relax.
