I don't feel that they are the best way to go. When you have two contact points that don't want anything to do with each other, how does that make it efficient?

I will not buy a fixed length tube out of principle. There's a functional reason for the ELA's width, and that would be eliminating the function. I don't believe in form at the expense of function from a design perspective.
I understand people like options, and doodads and parts, but a 24-25 mm fixed-tube mod from Super-T is the antithesis of "precise", so I'll just wait for the new P+ line to come out and probably spend my money on that.

People can like what they like and if super-t wants to make it, that's great! I just won't be purchasing it. I can see the appeal, it just doesn't appeal to me.
I think some replacement parts are in order. After that I would like to see a revision to the P+ line, although I'm still on the fence about whether or not I need one. Then I'd really like to see some brand new things we haven't seen before.

Definately we need replacement parts. Heaven knows Ive been hinting and whining about it. OEM springs, compression bands, accent rings, bottom contacts and my question about the top contact has never been answered. I hate to nag, but I guess thats what wives are for.
It's probably easier for me to say. "If you are going to make something for the Ela spare parts included I am going to want at least two of them"
Other than getting a slant top for flushing 22mm attys - my ELA is perfect. I have..well over 20 high end mods - the ELA doesn't ever need to look like any of them. No interest in a straight tube. The ELA is "different" - but in a good way - when you see one, you know what it is. I have dominus fecit mods, GG, King, Hammer, whatever - as well - also different - and I like them BECAUSE they are different.
Everyone has their ideal mod - or - they get more and more mods (that would be me). I really have no interest in turning my ELA into a normal tube mod - I have plenty of those.
I would be interested in ELA parts that are of...unusual finishes and such, and would also think an ELA made of aluminum would be interesting (easy to machine, lower price, and if we scratch it up - hell - it's aluminum and expected).
Finally - hell, you have CNC - how about a box mod - CNC aluminum, DNA 30, sprung 510, 26650 battery or dual 18650 (I have an Axis mod in my hand - and can say that dual 18650 is WONDERFUL!). Basically - what it comes down to is there is a following - and they know the QUALITY that they will get here - so - let's think about BLOWING people's mind - a mod that, hell - maybe costs $400 bucks - but to where people think it's a BARGAIN.
I dunno - there are mod makers that want to sell to the masses - and there are mod makers that want to innovate and impress. I don't see where new parts for an existing mod is - innovative. Truthfully - anyone with a lathe and any skill....could do it.
We can all admit - and all know what a pain in the...it was to get the ELA - right? Why make it...look like anything other than an ELA?

Well for a box, they would need a Mill. But all that being said, David spoke of an add-on module for the ELA that would replace the top cap and button and provide a DNA chip! That combined with ease of changing a battery in less than 5 seconds makes it a total WIN!
EDIT: David, I'll take 3 of those DNA modules! 2x Polished, 1x Satin!!

I have some brass ELA contacts I can put up next week. I don't have any plated at this time.
Count me in for a 22mm slant, and 350,500, and 650 solid tubes.
I took some fine grit sand paper used it on the button and button base. I got rid of all that black build up and no more shocks or hot buttons.

Personally, I'd like to see more ELA's made - for me specifically. Since they are hitting over the 1K mark on eBay, it would be nice to sell them at a massive profit. For once, it would be nice to feel like the big guy in the prison shower. And to prove I am a nice guy, I'd even send them a packet of lubricant. (I mean Noalox, get your mind out of the gutter perverts)
