I took my granddaughter's name, Ella, struck out one "l" and capitalized all of the letters. I liked the sound and the visuals. I did a search to rule out possible e-cig trademark infringements, and any significant negative associations with other companies and their products. Then, I okayed the proposed name with David. The ELA isn't a true acronym, the individual letters have no meaning by themselves, so they can mean anything you like.

Lately, I just say "eeeeee-la" when referring to the device.

Susan

Strangely enough after I was told you came up with it I was expecting an answer along these lines. Haha Ella is a pretty name. :)

You know what? I'm surprised it isn't called the Precise T-Scope or the Super T-Scope. lol

Glad you did your homework there. When I first found out about vaping and started to do some research and at one point I googled "Njoy", which I'd seen referenced a lot in the cig-a-like discussions . . . lets just say the results were 90% unrelated to e-cigs, mostly of the adult toy variety

Well did it and while shopping ordered the extended tube as well

Never owned a super t stuff before but they are always talked about, the quality, hits hard, their customer service. We all know the feeling when you are about to order an high end pv and start thinking 'should I or shouldn't? Its a lot of bucks' ... TBH I never hesitated just glad I pre-ordered one and IMO it will be worth every penny (sorry cent!)

Thanks guys for all the info on the thread it really did help ... an order was never in doubt ;)

I have been calling it the E L A, but the Eee la has such a nicer ring to it. Thanks for the explanation Susan. I can't wait to get my hands on my first Super-T mod!

I've just read all 103 pages tonight ... can't see straight  Absolutely ingenious design and beautiful machining. It looks the dogs bollocks Force ;)

Well off to order the ELA, polished with spare accent rings in brass and then sit it out for the next 6 to 8 weeks :vapor:

103 pages read at one sitting?! One word: Hardcore!!!

If you think the machining looks beautiful on that prototype (which was done on a manual lathe), just wait until you see the final product made on our new CNC. I can say with complete confidence it is the finest machined product that has ever rolled out of Super-T!

Dave, I sent the following email yesterday but haven't received a response...

I recently read, on the ECF forum that the "accent metal" is available in Satin as well, it just had to be specified in the comments when ordering.

Would it be possible to have my order revised to have the accent pieces done in the satin finish like the rest of the device?

Thank you in advance,

Jason

No worries, i'm always anywhere from 2-5 days behind in emails. I'm the only one here who can answer most of them, and with the volume i get, it takes awhile to get through them, usually i'm caught back up on emails by Fridays, usually :)

So David, I remember you saying that the ELA switch is the same as the P+... How in the world did you make the ELA the same diameter as the P+? Is the P+ just that thick, or were you just talking about the internals/button and not the exterior flange?

Because dang, I thought for sure that the ELA would at least be a couple mm larger in diameter.

My eyesight is only just back to normal :D

You should have kept me I the dark. I had managed some self control, with a promise to only think about the ELA every other day .... Look even better!!! You've just broke me

To prevent future trolling, I would like to post a few potential rules for this thread:

1: Read the thread before posting (about dimensions, switches, finishes, etc.). Most people have similar concerns and *post them*.
2: Before posting about potential qualms about "misunderstandings", refer to Rule 1.
3. If you Assume (say, about "hiccups" or "estimated time periods"), you make an ... out of "U" and "Me".

If no one understands why I post this now, please disregard. If anyone feels as though they have violated these rules, please think through their posts.
