Precise ELA Telescoping Mod by Super-T!

Yeah I wouldn't expect any atty to last as long as a 357. Grimm's lasted him almost a year! Probably woulda lasted longer if he hadn't thrown it away after dropping it in the toilet... lol

I still have an old Apex AVA atty that is nearly indestructible too, but it was twice the price of the HH and I like the HH better.

I'm sure there are... but none that I know of.. HOWEVER that being said. David has stated that he has plans to make replaceable topcaps. Top caps such as a Rebuild able atty and a dna Vari Volt/wattage top cap. So eventually you could turn your ELA into some sort of Telescoping hybrid.

One thing i don't remember reading or posted,will the ELA's need o-rings in them to hold the different types of batteries like the Precise + line has??? If they do will the ELA's come with a parts bag,washers,and o-rings??

You shouldn't need to use different o-rings, the telescoping aspect eliminates that need (maybe there will be one just to cusion the battery, but it won't need to be swapped out for different batteries if that's the case). Washers, on the other hand, I suspect are still needed for adjusting the switch throw

Just curious because i remember watching daves youtube on the precise + line and you have to change to a different size o-ring(when going to a different size batt) for it to fit,that's what i am asking about.

The fact that it's telescoping, as KillJoy noted, solves that issue... If the battery doesn't fit right just change the length of the tube.

There is one oring in the bottom and it just stays there, no need to change it when switching from 18350 to 18500 to 18650. Just adjust the tube up or down

will this mod be manufactured for awhile? or will it be a limited run like some others out there?...
currently a ego-user but if i were to pick up a mech it would def be this one! just thinking of the future....thanks!

He also did the Poldiac, which measured 3.96V under load, which is really good.

You just gonna have to trust me on this one : I just grabbed a freshly charged (4.2volts) high drain Panasonic battery, loaded into my P+18650,and.....BAM.... 3.96volts underload with a 1.3ohms IGO-S on top of it. Again, I always love to say this part (hehe ), my P+ is over a year old and just clean it with toilet paper on occasion. If the threads are too dirty I just use a little warm and soapy water. No polishing an/or sanding whatsoever.

Awesome. No other mod does that for sure.
From what I see you have to clean the contact points like every other day to keep the performance up on the others.

That's something that they don't mention on the reviews . Usually within a month of acquiring a new PV, depending on your work environment, on how you use it, etc...oxidation has already taken its toll. From a .2 to.3 voltage drop underload, you might start seeing .4 to .5 drops. Not only from contact points, but also from thread connections. If you read Dave's description on the ELA (which you probably did), the tube is non threaded, it just follows a pull and push motion when changing batteries. That's one LESS row of threads to clean and worry about a good connection. Add this to rhodium contacts, in which you never have to clean (other than a 2 second wipe), and you hit home run.


As you can tell, I'm really excited about this pv :

Rolleiflex indeed, it's an 59' f/2.8E and still working fine.

Oh my, I've been looking for the perfect mod for my Cobra, turns out SuperT have the very best match for it, the P+18350

I wonder if I can get a P+ in polished finish like that photo..
