My saturday helper. She's blowing the coolant off the ELA bottom posts after they come out of the parts catcher tray!

I just got in a few days ago, so how long out am I realistically?
1-2 months. As far as I understood the process, they've made more than has been ordered and they'll all be sent to be plated at the same time, then assembled. So it isn't too optimistic to suppose you'll get your unit only a few weeks after the first person that ordered it. Maybe even in one week

I ordered one today, looking forward to this. My first mechanical mod, I figured I'd buy once and buy right - from all the feedback it seems like this was a great way to go. Can't wait to actually use some of the 28 awg Kanthal A1 I have waiting. Genesis mods have been great for me on VV devices with ~1.5 32 awg A1 coils on 635 SS mesh, but I'm excited to see what is possible with a mechanical mod and the sub-1ohm 28 awg coils that everyone is raving about. I do hope it's not 2 months out, but I am late to this party.

That's the best thing about mech's and sub ohm coils, you can push it.

Yeah, I guess as long as you put a fuse on it. 18350's don't have the stellar high C rating that 650's have. Want to run a .5 ohm coil? 650 is like.. No probs cuz! 350 is like... crap... crap... crapcrap... crapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcraaaaaaaaap!

how would you calculate the watts?
would someone draw out the equation for future use?
I've been vaping this dual coil Nimbus from the Philippines on my P+18650 at a nice cool .53-.54 ohms. Probably what will go on my ELA :)

I've read info that suggests anything lower than .8 or .9 is pushing it.
for me on my mods it is pushing it, with nary much voltage drop under load.... but that's me ... i'm sure wongster knows what he's doing.
I feel its perfect at .8 to .9 with my iHybrids and Poldiac which fresh was showing 3.98v underload on a youtube vid.

.53 ohms at 3.7 vots would be about 26 watts, and about 7 amps. With a full battery, more like 33 watts and 8 amps.

Either of those is probably taking some serious chances with the battery. Even with good batteries, that may be close to or above the maximum rated discharge rate.
