well i have my reservations about SLR with silica or cotton wicks... i mean SS mesh seems more geared towards high heat and tilting the device to keep the juice up on the wick is what makes my SLR Genesis vaping work.

btw another really cool thing about mechanicals, there's no timed cut off ... you can vape til your lungs are FULLL

for me on my mods it is pushing it, with nary much voltage drop under load.... but that's me ... i'm sure wongster knows what he's doing.
I feel its perfect at .8 to .9 with my iHybrids and Poldiac which fresh was showing 3.98v underload on a youtube vid.

I was a little nervous when I first coiled it up. I paid close attention to the button, top cap and atty itself and none get
Really hot to the touch. I make sure I change batts often to avoid over-discharging and so far it's vaping really well. I'll probably move back up to .8 or .9 when I have to recoil it but this particular atty is pretty awesome :D

What's up with the 18350? is it dangerous to use with SLR coils?
Seems like not; since a whole lot of SLR Genesis vapers love the stealth effect... the new (deleted) is an 18350 Hybrid and you know its use is for SLR... I mean most hybrid users are going sub 1.0 Ohms

About .8 is the lowest you can go (with an 18350). What you have to watch out for is the shorts. That will draw too much current from the battery = bad things. Personally I run between 1.1 and 1.3 and that seems to work fine plus it gives me some wiggle room if things to start to act up

These tests were done with continuous amperage applied, not intemittent. Measured wattage fell off as voltage declined. All were conducted on the same battery, seasoned with 2 charge/discharge cycles before beginning tests. None of the tests resulted in the battery rising above 90F.

As you can see, the AW 18350 can take a licking and keep on ticking.

8 minutes of continuous draw. Unless you take 8 minute puffs, it'll last a while. I tend to take 3-4s draws, so would be good for about 120 puffs for me. That said, I'll probably run in 18650 mode most of the time, so I can make it through a day of work without needing to swap.

Yes, keep in mind that is continous amperage applied. Much, much different then intermittent use. Intermittent use also allows the battery to "recover" slightly between draws, giving you even longer time then dividing out the continuous amperage numbers.
