I am not a gennie user either, but I did buy one of those AGI's. Yeah the dripper part was the excuse. It isn't bad, it isn't great, but it isn't bad. I may look at the strata, I haven't fully made up my mind if I want to purchase one or not. I guess when the day gets here I will decide.

I give up on the kick, I love evolv, love Brandon and his ideas, love my darwin, but I don't like that kick! I ordered a dna 20 bottom feeding mod the other day. 4 week wait. I am a glutton for punishment.

Whats a strata?

Not sure where the thread is now, but it is locked. I am not sure if you would consider the strata a full on hybrid mod, or it is just the gennie. I am still partly confused on that. People seem to talk about it as it is a gennie, but if you see the drawing of it, it looks like it is an entire mod.

Thank you thank you for that! Now I remember why I am confused if this is a full out hybrid or just a genesis.

Look at this copied from the original post (David at least I am hitting your ELA thread with your future product, if you want me to stop just say so. :D)

"Other Features Include:

-Dual Coil Heating Elements and Dual tank feed tubes(can also run as single feed, single coil)

-Unique wicking design that utilizes our proprietary wicks that won't need replacing or the user can also use traditional rolled stainless steel mesh wicks.

-Screw on removable tank top for easy cleaning, no hassle juice changes and easy fills without a syringe (can be filled with a syringe if that’s your style too).

-Sight Glass for keeping an eye on the juice levels.

-Utilizes the same Patent Pending dual grounding button design as the PrecisePlus for consistent reliable electrical operation

- One Click Locking Button. Click it and forget it!

-Rhodium plated electrical contacts will never corrode or oxidize, ensuring maximum conductivity and reliable switch operation

-Stainless steel one piece tank. No pyrex, quartz or polycarbonate tanks to break or crack. User replaceable sight glass.

-All threaded sections and caps: Prevents parts from pulling apart or moving.

Available in two models:

Precise Strata 18500: .795 wide x 4.50 long

Precise Strata 18650: .795 wide x 5.12 long"

I have to say, a wick that you never have to change out, I am very intrigued I can't wait to hear more about this beast. Feed system to me would make me think that it isn't a typical gennie? I am still confused and the more I read that, the more confused I am.

The original idea was for both, actually. The full mod may have been the initial plan, but having read through that thread there was also the intention of making a version for the P+18xxx mods that attached in place of the top caps, acquiring the same end result. As I understand it, this would also be the same "integrated rebuildable" he has in store for the ELA, as well (though with different threading than the P+ version, of course)

To add to this information, Strata will also come in an atty-only version. That version utilizes a 510 connection while the Strata as a mod is actually a hybrid, if I'm not mistaken. The atty part will have places for two wicks, which makes it possible, at least in theory, to use standard silica wick if we do so desire. There were two versions of the atty: one that has the liquid above the wicks, the other with the liquid below the wicks. I also suspect that the ELA add-on atty will actually be Strata in some form, maybe slightly modified.

I love the Kick and cant wait to see the difference in performance from the PV im using now and ELA.

I hope Im not setting my expecations too high, but I hope I pop my Kick in ELA and my Odysseus on and really say " AHHHH, this is what the Super-T experience is .

I think you will. I switch my Penelope back and forth between a kicked p+ 18500 and a kicked gg stealth with extension tube. Both kicks set at the same wattage, the flavor is more intense and throat hit is stronger on the p+.

ELA should offer the best features of both with the flexibility of a telescope and the efficiency and ease of maintenance of rhodium plated gold contacts. As if that weren't enough to ask for, you also get nearly instant telescoping, refined air channels, adjustable center pin, and super t's flawless build quality.

If I were a puppy, I'd piddle on the floor with excitement. I can't wait.

LOL, no strata for me or any other Genesis atomizer, Im a silica user, even if Im considered a "dinosaur" So far the Odysseus is my one and only device. I have 2 complete Odys and parts to make another. Even Ithaka is way more than I need, performance wise. But I am getting some of Ithakas tank parts to update Ody.

Its going to be a wonderful "marriage" Ody and ELA kicked are in it for the long run

Upgrading Ody with Ithaka internals will definitely be worth it because there is really a "night and day" difference between the two. I've tried using the Ithaka internals in one of my Odys and there may be a few issues because the overall length of the complete Ithaka ceramic housing is much longer than the Ody's. I think that I've come up with a "work-around" but I won't really know until the ELA and spare Ithaka housings arrive.

I really hope that the Strata is next on David's list. The idea of having a SuperT RBA/hybrid blows my mind. I can only imagine how ingenious that thing is gonna be!

I have been on the Genesis bandwagon for a while, but lately am ready to add silica wick based rba (PrometeyTi) and Igo L rda, both to be used on the ELA... for sure.
My Penelope is fine on a Duggout dna20 box right now... but should be no reason it wouldn't be spectacular on ELA either.

A kick takes the mod out of the equation and any difference between two kicked mods are due to differences in the kicks, not the mods.
So if you really want to be ELAted, you have to run it raw! :) :smokie:

Got my DRA XL2 dripper yesteday, and it's really awesome, it will be handsome on the ELA me thinks. :)

If I can drip with a strata I'll buy two and sell off my remaining collection of non American mods lol. I seriously can't wait until my collection consists of only beautiful well engineered American Mods : D

I sold off all my non american mods, well all but 1. 1 of them I can not sell, it was a gift from a very special modder. I really love that little mod, that one I will treasure always. I am done buying mods from over seas, done. Drippers, well I still would love to grab another immortalizer, maybe another fatty. Hoping that David can plant my feet and my money in the states where it belongs. I have high hopes!
