You'd figure with their hands clenching their PV's all the time, that they'd be glistening with sweat all the time.
Sure there is wire.........take a look here: Super-T ShockWave Top Cap Internals - YouTube
I daresay most mark bugs devices end up on the classifieds because of the touch sensor. In order for the touch sensor to activate, there has to be some moisture in your skin. There's a popular spurious idea that licking your finger is the only way to get a WA to fire. That's lazy and weird, but that's what sellers of these devices wish to trade away.
I've got an apprentice that will probably never see the classifieds until I give up vaping. It's very well built and quite an efficient use of space. And apparently I don't have the dry skin problem plaguing so many others. Check out the apprentice 18650 next to the p+ 18500:

Both are excellent devices. Truth be told, I still use the p+ more often than the wa. But someday I would love to see David combine the diminutive size of newer devices such as the apprentice and caravela with the superlative aspects of his p+ line.
Yeah, most people don't "get" the touch switches. They're much like our touch screens.... they simply don't work if you tap with a fingernail... because its dead tissue! Touch sensors pickup the electrostatic in our bodies. So, if your skin is overly dry, then its just like tapping a touchscreen with a fingernail!
I wonder why there are so many people with such dry skin out there... what are they doing that they're so dry!?!?
the device would only "halfway fire" on occasion. But it drove me nuts. The PCB in the WA is a poorly functioning switch IMO, and it carries an amp limit of 4.1 amps IIRC. That would limit the user to about a 1 ohm coil. I had the PCB replaced by another Romanian Modder and now the switch is ultra sensitive to the lightest touch. The amp limitation is higher as well, removing that 1 ohm limitation, although a 1 ohm coil on an unregulated device is my sweet spot. I also replaced the stock battery spring with a gold plated one, and now this WA hits just as hard as my P+'s.
I love the battery in the shockwave, but I don`t care for the wire. Hopefully the simplicity will not have any wires and be a true mechanical?
The Super-T Simplicity line is fully mechanical. No wires.

David is assembling and finishing your ELAs. Hopefully, he'll find the time to do a quick pic for all of you.

Thanks for the clarifacation.... The Shockwave is the only side fire button that SuperT produced so far.... I love it, wire and all!Actually, that 26650 simplicity wasn't all mechanical, it had on conventional wire type switch.

Simplicity line.... am I missing something here?
Stainless steel cap and body. Rhodium/Gold plated center post. Conventional top/side button. Think simplicity, quality and affordability.
Actually, that 26650 simplicity wasn't all mechanical, it had on conventional wire type switch.
so, for dummies (like me), a cursory scan of the posts shows:
Shockwave (26650 batt): released, no plans for more production... wired side button... (amp limit?)
Simplicity (26650 batt): not released yet.. same side button. more "simple" than SW.
I also suspect the contacts may not be rhodium or gold plated, for the sake of affordability.
