Do you think the card fraud is a vape-specific thing or is this across the board? Why would vape industry high-risk processors be any less secure than a standard processor account?
I have had to cancel two cards within the last year. I have gone to prepaid which I have used exclusively ('cept the other day for something, now I'm spazzing).

Thanks, Stratified, this is a great tip!
Yeah, had my bank sing me up for an empty, non-linked card for using online. It costs $1 a month if I leave a balance in it, but it can sit at $0 without getting closed and I can just shuttle funds into it as needed. Might have the added bonus of helping me to manage my somewhat out-of-control vape spending too.

oh, and I just thought it was an interesting coincidence about that juice, I know you can't blame the vendor, it's gotta be the processor if anything, and could be entirely unrelated to any specific purchase. And I'm really digging that juice too, wasn't so sure at first but it's pretty darn good.

Interesting, as I only carry a debit card. I'm going to ask about this at my bank.

It's hard to say. When I made a purchase from VR my browser yelled at me about their site being unsecured which I thought nothing about. Maybe it was them but when at the bank today I was told about another breach at Mastercard and they've cancelled 17 cards yesterday and are on track to cancel that many today. I can't imagine all these people are vapers; I hardly see any of us out in the wild as it is. If you're with a good financial institution they will have you covered in the event of any fraud. Just keep an eye on your accounts to catch anything before it goes too far. What kills me is that these scammers are obviously bright enough to make an honest buck but still feel that they'd rather make their living off of other hard earned money.

My bank is a state employee's credit union (been using them since I was a kid) and this is called their "Cash Points Global Visa" account that they supposedly devised as an alternative to Travelers Checks. May be specific to this institution, but may have an analogue at others. Seems like it might work pretty well, even if it does get compromised, I might never know unless I use it for a trip or something and pre-load it. I'll just have to take that into "account" so to speak.

I do the same thing, except SunTrust doesn't charge for the secondary account. I can perform free, instant transfers from primary to secondary from a browser or from my phone, so ordering online requires very little preparation or forethought. But if my online card number is ever compromised, thieves only have access to $1.

Paypal hit me with a fraudulent $900 charge a couple of years ago. It took a couple of solid weeks before the money returned to my bank account, during which time we really struggled to avoid bouncing checks and overdue bills. That's when a teller at SunTrust suggested the second account for online transactions. Now I don't use Paypal unless there's no other choice. It's linked to my $1 online-only account, and two-stage authentication using a text message to my phone is required to log in.

Take pics. Transfer to PC. Visit imgur. Drag and drop pics onto that Web page. Copy the bb code link and paste here. Voila.

For extra credit, create an account on imgur so you can revisit your uploaded images later.

Ehhh, I have concerns that Paypal isn't actually a bank. They aren't fdic insured, they charge unreasonable fees, freeze accounts arbitrarily based on undisclosed heuristics, their customer service concentrates more on polite placating than actually helping, and they just don't strike me as having my best interests in mind. It's more like they're doing me a favor by letting me be their customer. Yet they pretend to be a bank, offering a credit card and inviting you to deposit your money there.

I dunno. Maybe my prejudice is unfounded. What do others feel about Paypal?

For p2p transfers I prefer Popmoney. They only charge $0.95 per transaction I think, and the money is in my bank account the day after payment. I'm interested in other PP alternatives as well, though.

So, what numbers are we up to now? Are we on the second batch?

Not quite. I'm at the tail end of batch one with order 15185 but haven't gotten shipping notification yet. I'm just hanging out, passing out rainbows, patiently waiting.
