'Just got my new Vamo V2 in the mail, yay! Before this the only batteries I've had were completely nonadjustable eGo batteries. So, I'm a little lost at what I should have this thing set at to achieve the best vape (I've already got the NO2 thing set right). I understand that best settings are a subjective thing, and are going to vary from user to user, but I'd still like to know where you like to have yours set at to try it for myself. I imagine the first question I'll be asked is what the Ohms of my coil are. Well, I don't know. But, I can tell you that they are the stock coils that come with a Protank, if that helps at all. So, what are your preferred Vamo settings? Thanks.

Let's check the Ohms of your Protank coil. Press the top right button for five seconds - that's your ohms on the display.

A quick and dirty way when vaping on volts rather than watts is to add 2 to the ohms. So if your ohm readout was 2.5 then vaping at 4.5 volts will be a good place to start. Adjust up and down in .1 increments until you hit your "sweet spot". Hope that helps.

I would start around 7.5 watts and go from there. Also, the Vamo will tell you the ohms of whatever device you have attached.

Depends on his ohms, Grimjack. As he has a Vamo he can check them. If he starts on volts he can increase more subtly. As you know it's .5 jumps on watts.

Thanks. For some reason, it seems to adjust wattage in .5 increments instead of .1?

Whenever I vape a new juice I usually start at 5 watts and slowly build up from there.
At the moment I'm vaping a choco/caramel mix in my Protank on the Vamo at 8 watts, but that's just my own experince. Start at low watts and slowly build up until it starts to taste a little burnt, then drop back down a notch or two to get the sweet spot :D

first, here's a link to a user manual in case your memory is as bad as mine http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/for...user_guide.pdf

watts does adjust in .5 increments-- volts adjust in .1

i generally vape between 6 and 8 watts. i will always try a new clearo or new juice at the lowest, then work my way up. different juices may want different power settings just like different clearos.

Got it. It was initially in wattage mode. Took me a minute to figure out how to put in in voltage mode. Thanks for that PDF.

Wait, the PDF just takes me to the front page of ECF. Was that your way of being snarky?
