As far as drilling or enlarging a hole like this, find someone with a metal turning lathe. It is a simple procedure. ;)

You can just get the black parts and seal them. Its just a slight difference in appearance. Dyed nylon that is clear coated vs black paint that is the coating. One big difference is that cerakote is much tougher than any acrylic or urethane. It also doesnt really add thickness.

Downside is that it expensive! 4oz is $35 and is not as easy as a just spraying on a couple of coats of acrylic on your pre-colored parts.

I see a bit of difference is surface texture....which looks cool, but then again, Bap might just be a really good photographer. :)

Silly question, but if you want black, why not just order black body parts to begin with?

gdeal answered most of this, but here is my reasoning.

White is cheaper. The dyed black is still porous as well as easily prone to scratching and etc. From my experience it isn't always done to what I would consider a satisfactory quality, it can be uneven/blotchy/etc.

Cerakote has proven to be extremely durable, very thin, and sprays nice.

Bap - that Cerakote paint looks awesome. Whats the best version to use? Air or oven cure?

I use oven cure, mainly because its their staple product and is offered in the most colors, it also makes for a quick process. Paint and then 2 hours in the oven and its ready to go.
