Well this kinda sucks. I ordered on Oct 16th and got 5 of these today (one email for each part):

Due to unexpected demand for our services, your item "PeKo V1.1 - Mechanical - Internal (Material: Alumide)" may be slightly delayed for shipping.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this situation may cause.

We expect that the delay will be no more than a few days at most and you'll receive a new email with your package's tracking number the moment it's shipped.
We're sorry for not having been able to meet the delivery estimation provided and hope that you'll continue to trust us for your 3D Printing needs.

I just got an email like that as well. I ordered the same day and have a new est. shipping of the 30th. They did send out my white polished parts on time from the same order. I guess they are eating the extra shipping cost. I am not surprise that they are behind on Alumide. After shapeways' obscene price increase on Alumide, I guess a lot of people shifted Alumide business to Sculpteo.

Same thing here. The polished white parts are really nice though. Alumide parts delayed and shipped separately which seems rather pointless but no cost to me.

Can you post a picture of the alumide finish on one of your mods?

I see all these fancy techniques for what treatment to use on the mod... for me, I want the simplest option. A few clear coats with Krylon to seal it and call it a day. But that's just me.

Sent from my Galaxy Note 3 via Tapatalk.
Me too but I got all pink so I will get some silver paint for the ring and button to break it up a bit.

Dry fit on the Peko from Sculpteo is nearly perfect. I just had to slide the internals in and out a few times to loosen the grip up a little and now it's sliding in and out very nicely.

The feel of the polished white is very nice. I'll give more thoughts when the Alumide pieces for the DNA show up.

The only thing I'd guess is that the Alumide might be a little more durable in the long run.
