Whoops I posted this in the wrong thread earlier...Seems like Val Heli is reading my mind on using the system to our advantage.
Shapeways delivered today on a new set up for printing the mod. Putting the parts into a "Loop" system keeps them separate during the printing process, but they are considered to be one part. So no extra charges. I need to take a closer look at them but it seems Shapeways is back in action.
I'm going to assemble a device over the week-end. I'll post up build doc as well. This one should be a bit shorter than the V3.1 doc.

Would it be too much to ask for a build video ? It would make life a lot easier for this "pointing at himself " clumsy person [emoji39]
Ok, so sanjosse had sculpteo send me a 10% discount that I never received, as I know others have experienced. Then Gdeal got us all a discount (thanks, btw) so I placed an order for a Peko kit last night. Sculpteo said a confirmation email would be sent, still haven't received it. I guess next I need to contact them directly. Any advice?
i didn't receive a confirmation email from them either, but when i log into the sculpteo site, click on my name in the upper right, select account, it shows *in process*.
This may be a lot easier to do than taking pictures and writing the whole thing up. I need to think about this, some parts need to be glued (and they need to dry), but maybe I can just improvise.....Dont expect hollywood production values
I am confused about which body to order. Is Sculpteo or Shapeways recommended? Thanks.

It's a tossup guys. Sculpteo is in France and added because Shapeways was moving and not taking orders. So Shapeways was gdeal's first choice but Sculpteo might be cheaper. You should check each.
I was just talking with the guy I work with yesterday wondering if dial-up internet even existed anymore. This answered my question.
Personally, I lean towards Sculpteo. Sculpteo delivery of product has been faster and their print quality looks better. (For now)
My polished gray and white prints should be here end of next week. Then I get to sealing them... or paint. Need to make that decision. May paint the white and seal the gray.

Really? I've had two orders cancelled and it took two weeks to get it straighten out. The only reason being I filed a dispute with pp and then I finally received a refund.
