There's no relation between the KFLs and the Gennies. Totally different beasts. KFLs are light-years easier, and, although tastes differ, I think they are an enormously better vape.

I have a silver dog hybrid geni single coil. I make my coil and install it. Fire it a couple times before I put the wick in so I can see if there are any hot spots. What gauge wire are you using?

Do you have any 28 or 30? Might need a lil thicker wire to work with. 28 works really good for us on geni's.

Nah, these are a piece of cake -- single coil, just like the T3S, but lots more room to work, and much easier mounting. You can use bigger (fatter) coils, and more wraps, and get a truly outstanding vape; the airflow on the "plus" models can be adjusted from as tight as those T3S, to a great deal more airflow, if you use fatter (lower gauge and resistance) wire and need more cooling. they're so much easier than the T3S's, and the vape is as much better than the T3S, as a T3S is better than a cigalike -- on both of those upgrades, my eyes got wide, AHA! NOW THAT'S A VAPE!

Thanks for the info AndriaD, being new to this stuff, I'm still trying to learn what I can do and can't do, but that is the fun of this stuff, a never ending process of learning, and who knows I might go back to the mini DID clones and make it work with more practice making coils, my wife says I'm hardheaded and refuse to give into anything, so for now I'm taking a break from it and will try some more later with new mesh and different gauge wire.
