And it was sooooo easy...lol...it seemed to good to be true! 36 years of smoking and trying to quit...*poof* in one day!

A simple 'like' doesn't seem appropriate in response to this post - THAT's FANTASTIC!!! You go girlfriend!! I'm so happy and proud of you too! Good job! now on to the next thing on your list (grin).
Now it's my turn to share with you RedRebel, CONGRATS!!! this couldn't have happened to a nicer person on ECF and I'm so glad of it! (grinin' from ear to ear on this end!) lol
We took our dog to a big Fourth of July fireworks celebration on San Diego bay.
As soon as it started, she FREAKED OUT in a big way.
Luckily we had her on a leash, or we may never have seen her again.
She was REALLY freaked out, and in a serious panic.
She took off running, and I ran with her all the way back to our car parked about a mile away.
Then she sat in the back of the car, and I with her, until it ended.
At some point my wife found her way back to the car as well.
Although without my help, I am kind of amazed my wife accomplished that feat.
She's not real good with directions.
She goes the wrong way about 80% of the time when exiting an elevator.
Needless to say we now leave our dog at home on Fourth of July.
We've done the same thing with (10) puppies we raised for CCI in the San Diego area! The Del Mar Fair's last night show always freaked some out and so we find a quiet corner and reassure them, they won't come in contact with anything bad... but they gotta learn to somehow come to terms with stuff like that if they're going to serve deserving folks as a service dog. Goldens are such loving kind little balls of fur that grow into such awesome well mannered adult dogs - it's a joy to see them working and being helpful in life!
I guess we're all different in how we react to things. I found living with stuff I didn't think was 'good' made me vulnerable for things that 'soothed that hurt in me' and made me feel better. I think folks who grew up strong and good with a good support system behind them could more easily avoid some of the 'ditches' I seemed to fall into (until I responded to God calling me). He's certainly showed me a better way of living my life, and helping others find their ways too. Bless you for responding and sharing, Jorge22. I like to hear what others think and what they respond well to.

Ahhh that's great, thanks Robin! I went back to my notification to make sure of it the next time I referenced him (grin) and have had a couple quick notes from him since.
This has been just an awesome celebration of a mind-blowing # of posts here on ECF!! I'm trying to catch up on my reading (Page 75 now, and up to 83 yet to go)... grinning from ear to ear for happy of all the folks who have quit smoking and are now enjoying NOT STINKING and being able to breath better and taste some of the awesome juices being made these days, too! (grin)

Aaaw, that's really sweet of you, thankyou. I promise to take real good care of it.
I'd share the list I had to choose from, but hard to tell what everyone else picked and were told they'd receive after me.... AND the small fact that in the notification letter they asked us not to share the 'form' with others NOT on the winner's list or runner's up... I would think that would make it a might easier for them to deal with JUST the winners and not some person 'wanting to be a winner' - haha so the wait goes on... such fun to watch!
oh, oh, USMC quit vaping with his other hand - anyone close to him to go check see if he's ok? (LOL)
It took several days (4) before I was notified after I made my choices and sent in the form for another notification to show up in my INBOX from 'flushdraw' of the fact I would receive my first choice!! Now I'm waiting on Vaping Zone to confirm or whatever the next step is. (grin), yup, still a grinnin' I am.... so just be patient and they'll work out all the wrinkles.
