There's nothing in the world that can top how lucky I'm feeling today. I started searching and reading thru this forum a few months before I joined to do research on e cigs and how to get started. My son did a preemptive strike and got me a Kanger eVod starter kit, just to see of I'd use it enough to cut back on death sticks. Neither of us expected it would only take 1 day...lol....now I'm kicking myself for not doing it or signing up here earlier. I lurked...lol..and once I joined, I was amazed at the stories people have shared. I have friends who are smokers, none that are ex smokers. This place has been a lifeline some days, I've had a few days I thought I wanted a cigarette, and instead, I'd just keep reading and not smoke. In a million little ways, we all keep each other on track. I'm grateful for all of you...

I feel your pain. I have a lot of local friends who are smokers. Only one who vapes. I've been trying for a while to get them to make the switch, gave them all kinds of info, offered all the help I could, gave them all my old gear and a bunch of juice. Sadly, they're just not ready for it, and I think you really have to be ready to make the change for vaping to work for you along with finding the right setup. Even after over a year of vaping, it can be hard for me to be around them sometimes. I just cling to my vape and jump on this forum on my phone when I need it. :)

I wasn't here the night all the posting was going on for the contest, but I have kept up with this thread from the beginning, I don't know anyone here, but starting to learn just how wonderful this place is, as well as learning how people are here. This is by far the BEST SITE on the entire internet. Congrats to all and I'm having fun just reading and keeping up with how all of you work together to help each other out, and it amazes me, there is no place like this anywhere.

I have one who is ready and desperately needs to switch. Some very nice ppl have offered to send me some old spares they have to make up a set for her and possibly another friend who needs to try. Both have tried using the cigalikes and hated them, think thats the only ecig option out here. One of them tried my chai tea juice with my purple X6 battery and I think that's what's going to sell her, a GOOD non tobacco flavor. If I can help ONE quit, it'll be good enough for me.

Ah yes, I tried those cigalikes for a while and it never worked for me. They were always super harsh. I have one friend that says he is ready to make the switch and really wants a setup similar to my iStick 30w and Atlantis since he tried it. Oddly enough, he started vaping before I did and went with me to our local B&M to get my first one. He had a lot of trouble with all the setups he got before and kept going back to analogs. He also has a hard time tasting the flavors in vapes and wants one with a really powerful flavor. I sent him links on where to buy the setup I have a few weeks ago, but he hasn't purchased it yet. Hopefully soon.

I tried the Blu and Njoy ones. The Njoy had replaceable cartridges, but was super harsh. The Blu I tried a few disposables, and they were alright, but just didn't work for me.

(Just to say, I have also tried the new Njoy artist collection line of e-liquids and those are actually pretty decent. Nothing like the cigalike stuff.)

Njoy butter crunch was the flavor in my first tank...I think that's what hooked me, it tasted NOTING like a cigarette!!!! I've tried the blood orange and loved it, too!

Heh... I guess there was some wisdom in just forgetting about the contest and this thread; when I checked email this morning, I was absolutely FLABBERGASTED to see the PM notification -- total surprise, out of the blue. :D

The finger's been well enough to do dishes since probably Friday... but the blister turned into some tough kind of skin, guess eventually it'll just flake off.

But reiterating what might very well have been my winning post, since it was the last one I made in that contest... THANKS FOR SAVING ME, ECF!!!!! AND ALL YOU LOVELY PEOPLE TOO!!!!!!

Andria

Glad it's better. Yeah it takes a while for the skin to get the right tone back.
