I thought about how I can give back to ECF in a way that was feasible and original. I tried to look at all of the popular avenues and in a way I haven't really seen anything similar on youtube channels or here for that matter.

I'm not a rich man but I feel like a pretty insightful human being, so tonorrow I will hopefully provide something to the community that is at least a fraction as helpful as you all have been to me.

I hope I surprise you. ;)

Flushdraw notified be about a day later of which of my selections I ended up with, seemed like the longest day ever! :)

Thanks Lessifer! It's going on two days now, so that's why I asked how it worked out for the first group. Not trying to rush anyone as I know the staff are surely still swamped with all this, only wanted to know how the process went down for those that already picked a prize :)

Congrats again to everyone that's already won, and good luck to everyone else for the next round of picks!

I can not like this post. I'm so sorry you have gone through all that. I'm gonna fight tooth and nail not to have a surgery. Although I've done all of the others I think. Shots, therapy all that kind of stuff.
As far as surgery goes, my sister had surgery they went through her stomach to fuse disc. Sounds crazy right? I got the stimulator. They are wanting to do surgery again on her, I am lower on medications. It's hard to say witch route to go. Like I said earlier if you have any questions on thing about Stimulator I can answer them for you Utsuru.
I don't know if I placed this in the right place... Still learning. If I want to answer someone, do I go next to Quote? Or make new post?
Earlier, I was trying to post something about a contest that people could win juice on, and also talk about a surgeon that messed me up, I think I might have looked at as negative... If so I apologize if I offended anyone. That was not my intention. Maybe I said to much sorry. Some of my post I think were placed wrong. Sorry.

That is what I am looking for, just a way to get off the majority of the medications I take. Just need to be able to think straight again...
I tried to reply to you and I don't know if I put it in the right place. Did you see all my replies to you.

The sound of peanuts boiling, or attys firing, or carto tanks crackling is heard. It grows in volume and a tiny blue dot appears above the "Prize winners announcement thread!". It is drawing nearer, and growing larger, gaining speed, and turning into a bluish pastel blur, zipping down toward the floor of the thread! A plain, brown, wooden, perch, with a bevel cut on 1/4 of the "T" rises up and suddenly the blur intersects it with a loud POP and YardByrd appears seated on his faithful Realm traveling perch!

The Platinum "YB" medallion around his neck is glowing a golden saffron-like color and you hear a deep, smooth, male, Latin, voice translating all but his greeting and farewell:

CAW! "Salutations from across the Realms those who frequent the "Prize winners announcement thread!" You share the hopes and dreams of winning and of winners! The vast resources, information, feedback, discussion, and opinion that grace this forum have proven invaluable to me as a vaper. My vaping mentor, who passed away last year, from lung Cancer, and could never quite stop smoking, told me this should be my first stop on my vaping journey and it was; thank you Donna Q and ECF!

I said I would NEVER mess with VV/VW mods, DIY, or build any type of RDA or RBA; I know enjoy all these things. My go to source for information is still ECF. On 6/25/15 I, a self proclaimed Cigaholic, Cancer and Heart attack survivor who still smoked back then, will be 39 months tobacco free and 40 months vaping! Thank you fellow posters for your efforts, and ECF, for providing our forum to post to. The philisophical, humanitarian, information filled, posts, exhibited here in this thread, remind me of why I am a member here.

We share the hopes and dreams of winning and of winners but, in fact, I believe we are all winning and winners! Freed from the slavery to tobacco we literally can breathe easier every
day for the rest of our lives! My hearty CAWgratulations to ECF, the contest winners, and to us all. Job well done and I am proud to be counted among your numbers!" CAW!

YardByrd spreads his wings and extending the left one straight out places the right one across his middle. He bows low, rises, spreads his wings, and begins to levitate straight up! His faithful Realm traveling perch sinks into the floor of the thread. Onward and upward the odd blue Realm traveling avian rises! He dips his beak below a wing and withdraws a scroll holding it there expectantly. Just as his head begins to leave your field of vision, still rising, he drops the scroll, which strikes the floor of the thread, and breaks open revealing a golden, inked message in calligraphy, just as his feet disappear from view and he goes on to another Realm. The writing is clear:

"We'd never know how high we are
till we are called to rise;
And then if we are true to plan,
our statures touch the sky."

That is a beautiful mod, maybe one of the other winners will be willing to trade with you, if they got a mod that you'd be comfortable with. Worst case scenario you could get verified and post it on the classifieds. I considered that if I had gotten something I didn't necessarily want to keep. Some might think it would be "wrong" but that way the mod would go to someone who could really utilize it and you could get gear that is more in your comfort zone.
I don't think there is anything wrong with your suggestion. It is a prize won to do whatever they chose to do with. It would be nobodies business what is done with it. I agree with you that this is a viable solution if it cannot be exchanged for another prize.

I fear I may have made a mistake you guys. I was one of the very lucky and very fortunate runner-ups that got to choose a prize. I tried to do as much research as I could do in the limited time I had that afternoon before picking my top 10 and I'm worried I may have chosen a prize that is way beyond my comfort and knowledge level. All of my instincts told me to choose the Cool Fire IV and MVP 2.0 camo kit, but all of those shiny beautiful mechanical mods tempted me. I ended up winning the Esterigon by GG, and for that I am extremely grateful! However after looking into it a bit, I am absolutely overwhelmed and really can't even afford all of the batteries, charger, ohm reader, supplies etc. I had a very hard time affording my little MVP 2 and Nautilus Mini and finding a way to fit that into my weekly budget. I PM'd a couple mods, but I fear I'm going to have something that I am too afraid to even touch, let alone afford the thing to even get it going.

Sorry I just had to vent what was going on in my mind. Although I am extremely happy to have won anything at all, I just worry I may have made a mistake choosing something way beyond what I'm capable of safely using, and for that I am sad. Hopefully if no one picked the Coolfire IV they will allow me to swap out prizes, I'm not holding my breath though. I always do stupid things like this. :(

Don't kick yourself. Even if an exchanged cannot be made I am sure somebody will either buy it thus allowing you to purchase gear you are more comfortable with or trade. I can see where the GG mod would catch your eye so stop referring to yourself as stupid. You are fine. Remind yourself please that once you receive your prize it is yours to do whatever you want with.

Congrats to all the winners, and being new to the site, I have to say this is the best and most helpful site I've ever been a part of. People helping others is such a wonderful thing, hope this site stays this way, I have been a member of a lot of sites of various types, but none of them compare to this one. At other sites it was usually if you needed help, it would be I'll sell you what you need to help out, this place blows my mind, and proud to say I belong to such a place. Wish I could offer some help here but being new, I have very little info to offer and no items to offer for help, all I have is just my little device that helped me to get started down the road of no cancer sticks. Right now I'm trying to be a sponge and learn all I can absorb with my used up old noodle they call a brain. Which is difficult when you have ADHD and taking 90mg's a day morphine and 4mg's a day of xanax due to deteriorating arthritis in my back and arthritis in every joint in my body. So I also understand the others here with the disability problems, I have been unable to work for 5 years after working 60 + hours a week as a mechanic on the job plus working every waking hour I was at home. I'm also having trouble getting help. The quacks I mean Dr's tell me that there is no surgery that will help me. But so far between friends, and faith in the higher power, I'm managing to make it one day at a time. Sorry for the long post but just trying to let everyone know how I feel about this wonderful site, and I understand what some of the other members are enduring, I feel for them, and hope they can get everything worked out for themselves.

Welcome!!! Yes, it is a wonderfully helpful place. You stated that you have very little info to offer for help, but I am sure your words did just that for somebody. I am sorry for your trouble and am wishing for some sunshine to come your way.

Joined in January...have spent hours and hours and hours...just reading, liking a post here and there, and someone told me to jump on the contest thread to meet some great people, learn a lot, and maybe winning something really cool. I was on that thread for 12 hours, and had the BEST time! Someone offered to send me a bottle of juice to try because I made a comment in response to another comment about bacon...lol....I had someone else ask about the charms I've made for my puffer, and I am honestly having a blast watch everyone win!

It is "home" and "family" for me VVVVVVVV

YAY!!! I ditched mine all years ago...vicious, petty, thieving, backstabbing weasels.

I'm the youngest of 3 kids (I'm over 50 now) and our parents have both passed on. Mom first (about 9 years ago), and Dad just over 6 years ago. I thought that if I became executor of the estate, we could have saved on some of the attorney fees. Mom and Dad were "Depression-Era" kids and saved EVERYTHING (and I mean EVERYTHING). Mom's passing was expected, but Dad's wasn't. Therefore, a 40-year-old house FULL of CRAP that needed to be cleaned out. I'd thought I would have gotten help from my siblings (I live the farthest away). My sister couldn't even accomplish the three relatively simple things I'd asked of her within one month of Dad's passing. My brother did help somewhat, but fizzled along the way. I spent COUNTLESS weekends traveling (taking MY vacation days/personal time) to work on the house. Countless trips to dumpsters/Goodwill, etc. Had FRIENDS come help me (very willingly giving up THEIR personal time.) It took me three years to get the house ready (plus the housing market was VERY soft for awhile) to sell. Then I had to wait on the attorney to finish the estate returns (I wasn't going to tackle that.)

I'm done with my siblings. I know that doesn't sound very Christian of me (and I struggle with that feeling) but I've not seen my sister in six years - she only communicates to gripe about settling the estate. My brother only contacts me when he needs money. I thought about telling them both to stuff it and consider what's left of the estate as my reimbursement, but in the back of my head, Dad wouldn't have approved. So I've split what's left and I'm done.

@DingerCPA - I hear ya! I've written off a few family members - I just don't need their stress/drama/trouble in my life. Wrote off a sister many years ago - I wish I could welcome her back into my life, but she is just nothing but trouble (addiction, theft, emptied my mom's small savings account to pay for her "stuff", etc.)

I've decided I can CHOOSE my family LOL. And ECF has become my "home", and some members are starting to feel more like family than some of my blood relatives.
