Problems with 5v passthrough!

I recently just bought the iQ 2amp usb wall charger from walmart...every now and again when I plug it into the wall my 5v passthrough blinks and blinks. I tried to press the button again and the same thing still occurs. I also tried pluggin and unplugging the usb wall charger and same thing happens. It sometimes doesn't even blink/work. I don't know what I am doing wrong or if it is even me but, I would like some help! Thank you VETERANS! One more thing, it works a lot better when plugged into my laptop but, don't want to fry anything.

P.S.

I swear I bought a silver 5v passthrough with a blue LED but it blinks orange! UGGG...

If it works when plugged into the PC, but only intermittently on the wall charger then that strongly suggests the wall charger is faulty.

One thing I would check, and I don't know that specific charger, but a few 2A models I've seen have two ports on them. One delivering 0.5A (for standard USB devices) and the other 2A (for iPads and other devices that support high speed USB charging). If that is the case, make sure you are using the 2A port.
