Hey Everyone,

I meant to go over this the day they shipped, but forgot, so I do apologize about that.

A few have reported *quirky* or *non-firing* switches. Wanted to go over a few things on A) How to Test B) The break-in.

1) Connect an atomizer. With your thumb press the switch down with the atomizer next to you ear. Play with the switch to find out exactly how firm you need to press to activate. :) You will notice when you first press, you will feel what seems like the throw stops -- Give it a small extra -umph- with your finger/thumb and you will feel/hear it activate.

2) When I first started using a mechanical switch it took a good 24/48 hours to get used to the new switch. Consistency comes with time, and it also comes from practice. What I noticed is that the contact ring on the button seemed to -seat- a bit over 48 hours and things started to line up a bit better.

Overall - The Tact and Mechanical switches are 2 very different beasts. That light touch pop you are used on the tact switch is no more -- It has been replaced with a much firmer push mechanical that really has no way to fail.

Give it time - Give it Practice - Give it a firm press consistently and it will be your best friend :)

The couple days or so, I would suggest using the inside part of your thumb as pictured below.

That would be sweet!!! I put in a ticket on Puresmoker.com anyway, because I'm not sure how long this switch is going to hold on. I'm to the point where I can use it if I depress it to exactly the right spot, at a 40 degree angle in the upwards direction...

Kidding of course...but it's getting very spotty at best...works sometimes other times it doesn't so I have to press it several times, say a little prayer and hope for the best.

usually, bri, i have to take the switch out, and reinsert it. that gives me a couple more days of consistency before having to do that again. if i use it without the button and just press on the tact switch button itself, it works every time. its really weird.

Thanks, I've been removing it for a couple of months now. Take it out, put it back in, fiddle with the tightness of the adapter, using the tact by itself. It's literally on it's last leg. The tact barely springs back out and when I depress it, it's a hit or miss situation.

I'm anxious to know too. My P1 is barely hanging on by one thin wire and a messy glob of solder

I just installed a new tact switch. If I have to do another one, I'm going to need a new resistor as well since I barely had enough wire for this one. I'd much rather have a mechanical switch anyway since I tend to press a little harder than I should. Of course, I'm guessing I'll lose the 5V if I move to the mechanical switch on the Prodigy V1.
