Actually it pulled through quite easily, I folded it in half and pulled it through with a piece of wire. It didn't distort the coil at all.
The XC-116 is quite small and is hollow, for some reason though juice does not penetrate the outer weave, Believe me, I've tried.
Maybe it's bad wick as cig mentioned, but at $8.00 a foot I don't plan in testing beyond my original purchase.
Opinions on the 3mm have not been formed yet.
I have noticed one thing, XC-132 usually is shipped with taped ends to prevent fraying. XC-116 does not need this, it does not fray when cut.
I also believe the heat treating of both may be different, I could be wrong but to me the physical appearance seems different, the XC-116 being tighter.
