Protank has a lot to recommend it, but maybe it's not for folks who won't tinker. If it isn't wicking enough with a thick juice you prefer, remove a top wick. If it gurgles, add a tuft of cotton or a thin silica on top. If the draw is too loose, plug a hole or two. No biggie.

I prefer a very tight draw but on top wick clearos with a tight draw, loosening them up is a real project. It's a lot easier to tighten a loose draw than to loosen a too tight draw.

EDIT: Protank doesnt suck. One of the heads sucked, or the "remove the top wick" method caused leaking. I switched to the other head included and my now my Protank works beautifully.

Just got a Protank..vaping a mostly VG peach juice... Cant seem to get a single puff..not even close. Nothing but gurgling and leaking...wasted about 6 ml of juice now.. All it does is leak out of the bottem or get sucked up through the mouthpiece..

Not only was this unit built terribly crooked with a oblong shaped glass tank...it doesnt hit AT ALL.. Nothing but wasting my juice.

Very disappointed in this unit. No wonder its only 16 bucks.. piece of crap made in China. Never buying Kanger .... again.

And I wonder if people in new members forum even try the product before they go recommending it to new users...

What a scam...

If a coil gurgles and leaks i just place another couple of 1mm wicks on top. Works perfectly after that !

I bought 2 Protanks, after trying out the Evods, and finding myself forever needing to refill them. The Protank holds 2.5ml, which does a good part of the day, and is the same as the Evod, but bigger. In fact the wicks are interchangeable which is an advantage.
If you find them too airy there are 3 little holes on the 510 screw, and one of them can be blocked with the point of, for example, a toothpick, which you then break off.
When mine gurgle it's usually the resistance not screwed in enough to the base.
The different forms of the glass tank give them an air rustic, at least for me ;)
One problem my friend had was the fragile attachment of the screw 510 to the base...if it falls in a bad angle from over 1metre, maybe a bit higher. It's a shame that the base isn't in SS. So I don't advise dropping them ;)
I use 2ohm resistances, any higher and it doesn't seem to produce much vapour. With my 100% VG no dry hits, a rarity with many devices.
IMO it gives a great taste, and clouds of vapour at 2ohms, and I find it really good for a price way below other genesis type tanks, for example, when you compare the actual vape quality, and it is a good size.
I'm sure that there will be improvements in future versions, but for the moment...GREAT :D

This place has manufactured and is selling THESE. I ordered one but it hasn't came yet so I can't say much about it. However, I believe the stainless steel construction will be a big plus. I guess we'll see.

I also love my Protanks! All of the problem's I've experienced with them have been user error or chalk it up to a learning curve. Have to be really mindful of which juice you'll be using before removing wicks. I do this for 100% VG juices and it works great! Adding a drop or two of distilled water to the tank without removing wicks also works. I want a protank that holds about 1ml more of e-liquid and it would be perfect.
