Protege Battery Rotation Question

I ordered a Protege full kit plus two extra batteries, so I will have four batteries total. Let's say I number them one, two, three, and four. Is it preferable to use #1,then while using #2, recharge #1, etc., leaving #3 and #4 out of rotation and in reserve?

Or is it better to go from #1 through #4 and then back to #1 again?

Or I am I obsessing and overthinking this thing while waiting for my Protege to arrive?

I've been rotating through three sets of batteries (like you're talking about) for my Prodigy since June and it seems to be working pretty well for me. I have a new set at the ready for when one goes down.
