Remember the old kid trick of sticking your tongue on the 9-volt battery? Well, stick your tongue on the top (atty off) and press the button - unless you have a volt meter. Getting any juice there?

If yes, then perhaps the atty center post isn't making contact - the 510 adapters have had this issue.

If no, try pressing the mechanical switch a bit harder/firmer. There is a break in period. Loosen the adapter a turn when trying this as well - and the tongue trick of course.

Hope this helps/work.

And last but not least, Cash or Casey will probably chime in here and help you out - or you can submit a ticket on the site and get 1-to-1 response :)

Hey Gypsy ... What color is the switch? Black or Silver?

1) Can you pull the adapter off and put your tongue on the little silver post. Hit the button. If you feel a little tingle, you are getting power.

2) When putting the adapter on, make sure to keep the switch just above the end of the tube. Then screw the adapter on and the switch should fall in to place.

Give those 2 things a shot :)

Shouldn't be a *shock* per say!!! haha ... I think of it as more of a tingle :)

Now, with your adapter still off, slowly push the switch up towards the end of the tube. Make sure it is hanging up over the edge of the tube. Now, try to put your adapter back on. What you will see is that the adapter is now pushing the switch in to place. And you should have current through the adapter. Sometimes, the switch gets stuck a bit down in the tube -- Thus the reason we have the adapter align it properly.
