the zi-moshi uses two 3v batteries , one on top of the other , so i'm assuming it's a higher volt device... though i cant say for sure.

It is 6v, you are correct.

The Z-moshi is a 5v device. There is a resistor that tunes down the two 3v batteries down to a more pleasurable 5 volts. Ask the user TDM aka truck driving mouse. He works for HAV so he would know for sure...
