Hi, Steve Careful with that jeep.. lol am glad you're ok though. Back to my question so why Sell both the Protege USB Extension and the PS Manual USBpass V2 if they can produce the same amount of voltage. I know one of the advantages is that you can conviently remove to protege's batteries and just slide the usb extension in and the other is just strictly a usb pass-thru but really why sell both if their just about the same..:D

hey jlmanno ... Good question ... A PT is a must, especially if you are by a computer all day ... Would you be able to insert a usb extension in to the Protege? Takes a small bit of force with a flat head screwdriver or the like, but then you have the convenience of a mod with a mechanical switch with a lifetime warranty, and PT for home use.

I know it's on the site but could you simplify the benefits of the protege versus the prodigy? The pt is a definite for me but I'm getting lost when comparing all the different models. I know I need do do a little more research but there are so many varying opinions out there. No problem if you can't do it know an email in the near future would be great! Thanks again!

Sure jlmanno ...

The type of mod really depends on what your preferences are ... Judging from your join date, I would assume, you currently have a PV or several :) With that said, the Protege is much like a standard ecig battery, except, it holds its peak performance longer. You know that feeling when you put a fresh ecig batter on the atomizer, and the first 10 hits are great? Well, multiply that and you get great hits for several hours before performance really starts to dwindle. Now, if you prefer something MORE than what your ecig batteries can do, then your next options would be a 5v PT, 5V mod Device, or 6v device. The bigger voltage mods tend to give better throat hit, and produce a bit more vapor than your standard 3.7v ecig/mods.

A 5v PT (your high end type PT's) aren't truly 5v ... They are more around the 4.2 - 4.3v area. They provide roughly .2 - .4v more consistently than your standard 3.7v ecig battery. The beauty of PT's is that there are VERY consistent. As long as you feed them the power (a USB source) they will stay at the same voltage.

The beauty of the Protege is, you can run it as a 3.7v mod when you are away from the computer, but if you are by your computer, you can put the USB Extension in, and vape at 4.3v consistently, until you need to get up and go somewhere :)

Hope that helps a bit. Let us know if you have any further questions jlmanno!
