Is the black bezel for the mechanical switch mandatory/suggested/not necessary? Can we use the stainless steel one we've already got instead or is the mech switch cut differently? Just curious.

Hey Huey -- Yes, its mandatory. The contact disks sits inside of it when not in use. We were originally making the button housings out of aluminum, but figured, if there was a way to short the device accidentally, people would figure out how - Thus, we switched back to delrin. It actually looks really nice ... Not a big delrin fan myself, but the black on dark stainless looks pretty good

That thing would have been ripped out... about the third chirp while i was trying to sleep i would have taken a baseball bat to it... i was like wtf is that chirping... i thought *maybe* it was the camera persons shoes chirping on your floor...
