hey jager ... No ... we still have some more testing to do with the Protege V1 with the upgraded switch. Once that is complete, they will be listed.

Also Protege V1 adapters (4 Piece - Utilize Brass and Stainless) are on Sale in the Sale/Clearance section :)

Steve,

Are you going to release a new switch for the V2?

Not yet Harpo ...

Many of the changes we have made to the V1.1 Protege we have already done to the V2 Prodigy. With that said, the next production runs on the V2 (or V2.1) will start taking place within the next couple of weeks. At which time, We will also have the new stainless switches available.

Sweet. Can't wait. My wifes going to kill all you manufacturers. Everytime I turn around I'm buying something new and improved.

By the way did you read my PM? I thought you'd get a laugh from it.

Besides the small things it fixes, its performance and look should be quite the upgrade ;) I myself don't like the plastic look of the button now

I haven't read my PM's for days ... I'm afraid of them ;)

Will the The Prodigy V1 Mechanical Switch be put on sale also?

Hey Mpet ... No, we don't plan to make any further V1 parts ... When the V2.1 / V3 is released, we will only support the V2 and model after. Hard enough to keep up with 1 model, but we have roughly 6-7 :) Sorry!

If my Protege is still under warranty, is will you still repair it?
My switch is starting to act up and I was trying to avoid having to send it in since it is my main vape. I was just going to buy the switch and put it in myself. But it would cost ~$34 w s/h to do so. I guess I will just have to send it in and do without until I get it back.

It will be hard because I am under tremendous stress right now since our 6 yr old pupper (my heart dog) was just diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer, though he is undergoing chemo and radiation and we are hoping this will give us and him some more good months. So I am totally stressed out and not having my Protege (my crutch) is going to drive me over the edge for sure.

Well...the new switch sounds good...but so did the last one. I bought one of the original Proteges and have had 2 tact switches and 2 mech switches and none of them have been worth a damn. I've communicated with Casey and she has been very nice to deal with. BUT...I can't use my Protege now because I cannot push the switch hard enough to work (it takes both thumbs, and I have arthritis). I don't have the patience nor skill to mess with the switch so I just don't use it. I really, really WANT to use it...it was my favorite for the couple of weeks that it worked right!! I hope this new new (as opposed to just new ;) ) switch works and that current Protege owners get some kind of deal on it. I've probably spent $150 (or more) on a Protege that I can't use.

I appreciate PS's dedication in working to make our vaping experiences the best they can be.

Hey MPet ... So sorry to here about your dog :( Joanna and I are huge animal lovers, and I would hate to see any one of our furbabies in that situation!

Not entirely sure if you are talking about your Prodigy or Protege? First question was in regards to the V1, the 2nd was the Protege. Anything still under warranty will be 100% taken care of, so you don't need to worry :)

CJ -

The main problem with Mechanical Switches in Protege is a small burr sitting on the inside of the tube. I need the actual unit to make it work perfectly :) Same reason why 99% of Protege's shipping now with mechanical switches don't have issues. Because we were able to put properly *mate* each switch with each tube.

The Protege was never originally made to work with mechanical switches, it was an afterthought. Therefore, we tried the best we could :)

If you want to send both of your Protege's in with your mechanical switches, I would be happy to take care of both of them for you :) Align properly, upgrade to orings, and get them back to you in tip top shape!

Steve the new V2.1 switches are all stainless? Do you have any pics? God the V2 is going to be sexy with an all stainless switch

That is correct lil :) No pics just yet .... We have also added 45 degree cuts on each side of the housing to really deflect light and make it shine :D Will have pics sometime early to mid next week!
