After some days of use I can give my opinion about this great device.
For me it worked flawless from the beginning, but I follow this topic so I've read all the tips and tricks before.

Let me start with telling I love the looks of this device, it's beautiful!
It's really easy to use,l keeps temperature on a GREAT way, I've got the feeling this chip really regulates the temperature on a better way then other chips.

I use it with a 0,6 ohm coil, temperature 210 and use a small rayon or cotten wick.
To sum it up, a GREAT device Imeo, I love it so much!

I gave the Penelope V4 a second chanche, I use it now with the bigger airhole update and it's indeed true this does not change the airflow much. For me the airflow on the Penny is really not enough, and I'm sure the o-ring trick will not make THAT difference I'm looking for.

I need to looking for another RTA on the Proteus cause with the Penny this can never be the enjoyable ADV I'm looking for. I'm thinking I will sell it, I not want to go offtopic here but if people are interested please PM me for all details, cause I know it's not easy to fine somewhere now in the shops.

So the search for another RTA to match this begins, I feel much for the FEV VS but also this one has not that much air.
I am glad that you are pleased Stun! But please give penelope one more try because the o-ring trick will make a huge difference!

The long wait for the Proteus for me was an anti-climax. Got an unprogrammed chip, no fault of Imeo or Hernan. Now Royal Mail has sent the unprogrammed chip to Norway instead of Spain for replacement. Now it's gonna be stuck in the postal limbo system until when. The whole situation sucks, had to pay extra for the return, than everyone else for a non working Proteus. Imeo & Hernan tried their best, with so much going on. The replacement chip, I assume won't be sent to me until the faulty one reaches Hernan. :( it's gonna be a whole month or two, maybe 3, with a tube with a button.
because of the mistake of post office, I will ask Hernan to send you a chip immediately Chris. Please contact Hernan about this issue and I will do the same :)

I've been in the same situation ... And can't help thinking that when the issue of faulty boards is well known, it would have been good if the sellers where gentlemen enough to send replacement boards without waiting the faulty one to be returned in their hands... That would have been excellent customer service

I would agree :) I understand why sellers do it, as long there is proof of sending with details for tacking that should be good enough..

The smaller o-ring worked for me for more air flow on Penelope. I don't know the size of the smaller o-ring I used. It was an extra o-ring sitting brand new in my spare parts. But it was significantly smaller than the one that comes with Penelope.
Same size diameter, but not as thick.

Thanks Imeo I'll see what it will do for me!

Cotton only

Ok I just read some about it, interesting, it's not really a BF tank, for now this is the best option to buy and use in combination with the Proteus.

What I can not find in stores that sell it, if the fact the liquid transportation tubes are delivered with it as well? I'm allmost sure it will be included just checking to be 100% sure.

And you said you had good results with it, I take it you mean in comination with Proteus? In other words, is it a stable TC atty?

And do you maybe have, or can you make a picture on the Proteus?

I happen to have a brand new bag of Penelope spares, this is where you took if from I think right?

I know I can find it back here in the tread, but lazy as I am, what O-ring are we talking about that needs to be changed? I not have the Penelope with me now, but I think it's the lowest one on the base, maybe near the airholes?

I've had my Proteus for three weeks now, almost two with Pene and it IS the most stable, vape-able TC experience I have had. It's simply perfect, not a single glitch so far.
(I have DNA40/25, Joyetech/Eleaf mods to compare with; had Ni, Ti, SS for TC)

And do you maybe have, or can you make a picture on the Proteus?

Here you go: GG Tilemahos V2 and Penelope V4 mini official thread

Afair, yes, the fat o-ring that sits under the housing between housing and base.

I was talking about the Origen Tiny Tank, I have the Penny V4 myself and you're right, it's a very stable TC experience, but for me it's really not airy enough.

Fair, yes, the fat o-ring that sits under the housing between housing and base.

Thank you, I'll try this tonight when I'm home.

And I also meant a picture of the Proteus + Origen Tiny.

I was mixing different quotes and atty's, so I'm sorry for the confusion :)

You can get it here: Origen Tiny Tank - InTaste
And yes, it comes with all parts, ready to use. As any vape gear, it's wise getting some spares though ...
It is an absolute flavor monster and has been my favorite tank since a couple of month despite the need to refill it often.
It has airflow control, including some airy options.
I had good results using it with proteus. It works well, however there's no liquid control so it might drain the battery faster than Penelope and expect the red blink every time you fire it.
Here are some pics of proteus with the tiny tank, tiny dripper, and Penelope. My hand should give you an idea of the size ratio.
It's obviously not looking as good as Penelope, but it's not shockingly ugly :)

PS: Imeo and the admins. Since it's the proteus mod thread, I feel it's OK to mention non-GG atomizers that happen to make sense with proteus (size wise). feel free to delete my post if it's not OK.

Thank you much for all the pictures, gives me a really good idea in size comparison.

For me it look's great honestly on the Proteus!

And yes I saw already Intaste has them but a local shop here in Holland sells them as well, so this means I can have it already tomorow :)

And I'm really tempted to buy it now, your small review about it makes it even more tempting, together with some other revieuws I read before.

The often reffilling part is what still makes me doubt a bit to buy it, that and the fact I spend way to much already last few weeks on vaping gear :)

Then again I know myself, and I'm allmost sure I'll buy it tonight when I'm home.

Thanks again for all your help, I'll keep the progress posted here.

If you are already talking about other atomisers, I believe that Kayfun Mini v2.1 ES would look great on Proteus. It's small and it's great atty. The reason I personally wouldn't use it is that I am clumsy to make good coil with which Mini wouldn't leak. Every damn time I tried to use it, it leaked at one moment, never vaped whole tank without leaking at some point. :(

It's even little bit thinner then Proteus, it's 14mm with tank which is 15mm. For me it's one of the aesteticly nicest atomisers.

35kmtxf.jpg

The best thing is that it can be dripper, used in standard mode holding 2.8 ml or in long mode holding 6 ml of liquid. And much more combos.

86.jpg

But i'st an old and discontinued model, which is little bit harder to find.

@Imeo, sorry. I don't habe any intention of promoting other manufacturers but if someone decides not to use Peny then it's hard to change someone's mind. And having in mind that there are only few atomisers with same or simillar diameter as Proteus, maybe it's ok to mention them for those hwo definetly won't use Peny.

If my post shouldn't be here feel free to delete it. ;)

I really like that flat drip tip you're using on the Origen. What is it called?
