ok so i may be a little rough on my mods, the Provari has stood the test of time and table height. I'm hoping this should do the same. I'm on the fence about cancelling a preorder (which will go unnamed) and jumping on board here. Maybe some a few more good responses will push me over the edge.

Yeah so you will not be dissapointed!!

I have an XPV30 which was converted from a 20w. Today I had a fumble as I was rushing to leave a job... XPV started to fall as I was stepping out of the truck, I was trying to save it while succeeding only in batting it through the air to the pavement!:facepalm: Picked it up and upon inspection only a tiny scratch in the aluminum and some nicks on my black russian clone. Could have been much worse... plus this will be a beater mod as my 40w is schedualed to be here tomorrow anyways.

Right now I am happily vaping at 21w some Uncle Junks-Jon Wayne in a Origen V2. XPV is no worse for ware and Im safely vaping on my couch which is idiotproof lol.

I emailed them about the black screws and wouldn't you know they responded pretty quickly to say it was coming with the screws in black and if i meant i wanted another set. A follow up email to let me know they were busy working on it and were going to get it in my hands as quickly as possible while maintaining High QC. I gotta say for such a simple question i am glad they followed up on the spot.

From what I've read they have responded to quickly everyone that has contacted them.

Two points that SeniorBoy missed. The connector pin is spring loaded and compared to other PVs it's not heavy.

One thing I don't understand is why the XPV40 [now] cannot have a threaded bottom cap* and the batt be user replaceable?

If being a square plate is the worry, that it might not align up properly, it could always have a round cap insert. Which can be unthreaded using a coin.

Just thinking!

*Since the DNA40 has reverse polarity protection.

Been using it nonstop today. What an awesome mod! I'm not used to build quality like this... talk about quality assurance. We need more companies like this.

Red with grey trim and dark grey metallic clicky button.

Let me guess, you use iProducts and don't already have micro-USB chargers and cables everywhere?

Oh, it's not about the 'plugging into your computer/wall' thingy - I just like to carry two spare batteries - swap the depleted one with a fresh new. It feels more convenient to me.

U can it just takes some doing... Buy a spare battery from them

Yeah, I know. But I'm not talking about end-of-life replacement, I'm talking about continuous swapping out the battery between charges. Say while sitting at Tim Hortons midway to a destination.

Nice I came close to getting red with black trim. But my silver/black 30 is doing me fine for now.

Just remembered to repost this. If the gap the screws cause bothers you it can be reduced. Get a thin faucet washer to go between the screws and the connector. It'll reduce the gap so it is not as noticeable. The one I'm using is barely wider the connector. It also makes so you only have to snug you topper and it'll stay put. Just thought I'd share my fix in case the gap bugs anyone besides me.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I prefer to carry as little extra stuff as possible. That means I prefer not to have to carry spare batteries, or a dedicated charger for those batteries when I travel. Having micro USB power literally everywhere makes that entirely feasible. The one thing I miss about my conventional mods since I switched to bottom-feeders is that none of my feeders have built-in chargers.

I personally can't charge mine everywhere i go due to the nature of my job. i plug it in overnight, on the way to and from work. It doesnt last me all day so I have to pull out the mech when i get home and charge up my xpv since its normally dying as I'm driving home from work. I'd rather just use my xpv all the time, which is why I hope they introduce replaceable batteries next re-design.

I have one of those portable power packs but its not a very good one, doesnt give the xpv a full charge even. I guess a better power pack is the solution for now.

How have you guys liked the temp control so far? I think it's good, but could be better. I've had it not fire because the temp control was kicking in, even when wick was super saturated. I know i can get it down to almost dry because I've sat here vaping it just to try and get a dry hit. Only solution I've found is to reattach atty, and then you have to wait for it to cool down to reattach, which is no bueno when i'm driving to work in the morning.

Also, I've taken an atty off and attached a new one and didn't get a prompt for new/same coil, it seems to happen at random. Anything I'm missing here?

I'm currently building with 28ga ni200, 12 wraps around 3.5mm rod. comes to .1 ohm. I want to use 30ga but its super light and i keep messing up the coils when it's time to re-wick. What are you guys doing fro your builds?
