I'm genuinely happy you finally received yours, I'm surprised you didn't drag it with you and hook it up to a mobile power supply! Hope you enjoy... I think rossum is on to something with lil rubber feet for XPV.
My xpv sits pretty flush, i think mine wobbles because every rta i have is heavier than the xpv

That's not rubber, that's UHMW tape, which has a low coefficient of friction; in order words it's slippery as all heck. I just did it to show the concept. I'll have to find some black rubber tape of an appropriate tickness somewhere...

Don't know if anybody has seen this yet but Vaporjoes just posted something about the new Sony VTC5's. They have the same 30 amp limit but are 2600 mah, 500 mah more than the VTC4's. Can't wait to be able to buy one.

got mine too.. paid for on 20th, i dont think order numbers mean much though. think they are assigned in random order by the merchant account they use. ordered on 16th from old site. congrats though
Well, I suspect they read this thread and they're welcome to take it and run with it.
Ordered mine on the new site on the 18th #222 so fingers crossed it'll be shipped within a week or so. Then got to wait for it to get to England and through customs!
I would imagine any decent double sided tape would be ok to adhere some rubber or other no slip material to the base? Screwfix has it over here for a few quid for a roll. Decent stuff too,it's holding all the wall protection on at the hospital I work at.

That, or there's always the option of those little stick-on rubber or felt furniture pads that they seem to sell everywhere. I bought a pack of them for about $1.50 at the dollar store. They are about 3/8" in diameter and I originally bought them to replace the felt pads on the bottom of my silverware chest.
Now if I could just find them amongst the clutter...
Wait, I thought those (REO Grand) were the be-all and end-all of vaping, and that once one started using them, there was no reason to try anything else?
Love my XPV, with out a doubt my favorite regulated mod, but I gotta admit, since getting a REO Grand and modding an IGO-S into bottom feed, my XPV has been pretty lonely...
I still petition that a protovapor made DNA powered bottom feeding device with usb charging would be my personal be all end all vape.
After using a decent bottom feeder, and a decent bottom fed atty, I kinda just can't stand dicking around with my KFL's and similar tanks any more, they are just a PITA no matter how well they are working, when compared to a bottom fed dripping style system.

What "dicking around"? I rewick my R91 with fresh cotton once a week whether it needs it or not.
Other than that, I fill it once a day, and even a bottom feeder needs to be refilled, no?

In my scenario the R91 and KFL, and any bottom coil tank that relies on a vacuum to prevent leaking, and to feed the coil with liquid, requires me to be very aware of any major elevation (pressure) changes that I am taking the mod into (driving up a mountain) because if left un-attended in these situations, it will leak all over the place. The only real solution for those style tanks in this situation, is to turn the whole mod upside down before the pressure change, then the pressure in the tank can equalize without spitting out liquid to do it.
Also, when I was using a KFL as my all day vape / every day carry, it meant I had to bring a syringe and a screw driver with me any time I thought I might need to do a refill some time in the day, PITA! The REO holds 6ml, and is super easy to refill straight outta a regular bottle.
And while I generally had my KFL preforming really well all around, I still had to be careful when chain vaping it, as it wasn't always able to keep up.
The KFL and similar tanks have a hard time working well with 90 to 100% VG liquids, not the case in a bottom feeder.
But the biggest things that I like about it, is that I can pop the top and look at / adjust / replace / rewick / tweak / do anything I want to the coil without needing to drain, and fully disassemble the whole tank.
I was able to play with lots of coil designs and modifications on a bottom feeding atty (and take test vapes every step of the way) in a fraction of the time it took me to drain / disassemble / rebuild / re-assemble / refill the KFL.
The KFL and R91 are great tanks, but it is nice to not have to rely on the mojo of vacuum's and atmospheric pressure to get a great vape.
I want a Protovapor bottom feeder!

No one in the country has elevation change like Utah does, so us east coasters have no clue what yer talking about.
Makes sense. I've got 100% VG in my KFL+ since I got it a week ago and it does feel like it runs drier than optimal if I vape it too hard. I'm thinking I should tighten up the draw on it a bit to get more vacuum...
OTOH, the juice in my R91 is a 35/65 PG/VG and I can chain-vape that all day without so much of hint of a dry hit.
That's why I initially bought a Squape. But I like the R91/KFL better, I suspect primarily due to their better/ajustable airflow.
And I want a dibi with a DNA-30 in the base!
Realistically, I'd buy just about any DNA-powered bottom feeder in a New York Second.

Yea in my area I can go from like 500' to over 8000' within a pretty short period of time, and my job frequently calls for trips up various mountains in the area to work on transmitter sites.

Blue Ridge Mountains of NC are beautiful, There is a KOA just off I-40 somewhere in there that I stayed at back along 1984... On a cross country road trip, absolutely gorgeous, I live relatively close to the White Mtns. of NH and although the Kancamagus highway is pretty, it's just not the same...
