I see you like the K?ayfun lite and the russian 91 clone is essentially the same what build do you use for your Xpv

I am hesitant to recommend a build, as everyone likes something different, but I seem to be having pretty good luck with a 1.2 ohm, 2 pieces of 30 guage twisted into one, approximately 1.5 mm inside diameter, and a piece of 1.5mm ekowool wicking it.

I need to play more with KFL builds though, I doubt I have come close to a perfect build in the KFL, but that's the nice thing about the KFL, is it is pretty forgiving, so even if its not built perfectly, it will usually still perform pretty well.

That sounds awesome, was it tricky to setup in the R91 and how does it perform?

It is tricky to set up. After my first dance with it, I tried a number of single coils (horizontal & vertical) but couldn't get as good of a vape as I did with the dual. But like anything with coil wrapping, it takes practice and I've got it down now.

I have two 18 gauge needles that I use. I wrap one coil per needle, then lay the needles down parallel (pointing in opposite directions, of course). Before laying them down, I make sure the coils are lined up in the position I want them to be on the deck. Once everything's in place, I tape the ends of the needles down (good old blue 3M painter's tape) and twist the tails at each end together a couple of times. Once satisfied with how the coils line up, I remove the tape and finish twisting the tails. At that point, it's just like workin with a single coil!

I am order number 436 ordered on 3/10. Looks like i still have a wait ahead of me. Hope it is everything I'm expecting it to be.

#429 (and #430, cuz I forgot to add the Removable Clip Option  ) on 3/10, as well. My Zenith V2 arrived this weekend...I'll have to put up with it on a kicked mech maxed @ 15W until my XPV gets here. :toast:

Yeah looks like I got in right after you. I'll continue to use the ole faithful provari in the meantime. So do you have to have the clip option? I ordered mine without. I didn't get any kind of error saying I have to add the removable clip. I def don't want to lose my spot inline

I'm sure I'll continue to use my provari for when I'm out and about and keep the XPV @ home for the most part. I don't think it's necessary to have the clip option; but I wanted to have it for when I'm out in the garage, mowing the lawn, etc. When I placed my order for the clip option, I made sure to reference my XPV order number in the comments. I also did not get charged for shipping. FYI, when I placed my XPV order, I ordered it with the clip.

If I were in your shoes, I'd wait until after I received my XPV to get the clip.

Just got XPV in the mail today was so happy, and within 5 minutes the O-ring in the 510 connection popped off. Didn't have time to mess with it, was on my lunch break and stopped at home knowing it was in the mail. When I get home I'm going to have to open it up and put it back in. Not very happy :(

EDIT:

Fixed issue wasn't hard to do at all.

I feel your pain..
The same thing happened to me within a few minutes of unwrapping it and hoping to see something that was almost perfect. As soon as a little juice seemed to hit the oring (like a drop) center pin popped through the oring. I took the top off and re-positioned the oring below the center pin and again, the same thing happened..

I took the extra oring they had sent (thank God) in the little bag and placed a second oring over the one that was in there and stopped it from happening. In other words, stacked orings. Doing this does raise up the center pin in the connector and makes it where you cant screw in your topper as far down as you should be able to, but keeps the pin from slipping through the oring and leaving your device unvapeable because the center pin is now recessed to the bottom of the canal.. If you have ever taken this aprt you will know what I mean. I guess some of these don't have this problem.. Mine did.

If I were the company, I'd scrap that connector and get a spring loaded connector that has a delrin or silicone spacer insulator. Something that just works and is solid.. I would like to see a connector that has a threaded shank that uses a nut that tightens from underneath side making a very solid connection and also soldered for extra stability. The soldering job looks good...

That's my only thumbs down on the device, besides wishing the screen was located on the same side as the up/down pot.

Great working device other than that and a big thumbs up.. The connector could be changed out fairly easy but why should we have to?

Yea the 510 connector is very disappointing. They should use a better quality connection, preferably something with a floating pin to flush mount atomizers.

Sorry to hear you cancelled Mini, but I can understand it. Most ppl dont want to do surgery on their device the day it arrives.. Other than the connector it is well put together.. Time will tell how many ppl have these problems. I wish they would retro fit the ones that all of us have when a new connector is used.. I know a new one will be used. The question is when?
