Anyone else have trouble with the display sliding around inside the tube?

I've dropped my Provari a couple of times, and each time I do, I notice the display is slid up in the tube, causing the display and the button to come out of alignment. A few gently taps on the table and it slides back where it belongs. I think I may have broke whatever holds the display in place though, because if I let the battery drop in when changing, the display will move slightly.

I just got mine a few days ago, and the first thing I noticed was the display is not centered with the view hole. Not sure if this by design or not. If not, I'd love to know how to fix it, my OCD is kicking in and it's starting to bug me! Other than that, I love this thing.

Well, what I do is take out the battery, remove my tank & carto, and tap the bottom of the Provari onto my cutting board a few times until the display is centered, and the button is centered under the button (you can see through the button you press). Probably not the best solution though. I think I'm gonna try putting a dot of superglue in there to keep it in place.

I tried this, it worked and I was like sweet! Then put the battery back in and it pushed it right back. I can't believe that's not screwed down inside. Ive heard so many people say the build quality was awesome, components freely sliding around is NOT awesome. :(

It was my understanding that the screws that keep the window in place also keep the board in place. Either way, what you are experiencing is not the norm. Get a PM to Vape360 and let him know.

Also, dropped ya a PM QLock.

The screen on mine, about a week or so old and never dropped, is slightly to the left closest to the 510 connection side. Not a big deal to me. It seems this might have been designed this way for a couple reasons, first of the "digital display effect" which seems to canter to the right anyway. Also it may be to the fact to fit a larger batt in there. Either way the Provari is pretty impressive. I can say the digital multi meter hasn't seen any use since I got mine.

One thing I'll note. I ordered the spacer with it to fit the Trustfire Flame 2400 mah batts I've got, as well as an Ultrafire 3000 mah red batt. So far I haven't had to use it at all. The first time I put the batts mentioned in, I used the extension cap I ordered, and very slowly screwed it in until it was flush. So far no need for a washer. I did order the upgraded spring as well, though it hasn't been needed. So far it has performed pretty much to expectation. I've been handling it more delicately than the Silver Bullet, likely due to the expense. But whatever. It's been a great device so far.

I love Provape; their stuff is the best and so is CS and QC... I usually, for any vendor, give them the benefit of the doubt with a communication, before posting my complaints.

Oh I have no doubt they will make it right! And as a disclaimer, so no one gets the wrong idea, I love the &*?! Out of my Provari, sliding display or not. I've put in an email to Provape.

However, and I'm not being an ... here, I will never shy away from discussing my experience with vaping products, whether they be positive or negative, on a forum that is made for just this reason. People come here to get the truth, not half truths surrounded by back room discussions and deals. This is a $200 device that has failed quality control at some point in the line. Or it hasn't and just has what i see as a fault for such an expensive device. If I'm a new vaper and am looking online to find out what to buy, I want to know the truth, not sugar coated half truths. I could very well be wrong, this could be by design. Either way, I don't like that it's not aligned. If its something that needs to get fixed and if it does, I'll post about how awesome they stand behind their product and how happy I am with their service and the person reading my experience trying to decide on buying one will most likely be impressed and it will probably increase their resolve. This will be my first hand experience they will be reading and basing their trust in the product and it's support.

Let me restate: I LOVE MY PROVARI!!! And by discussing the problem I'm having, is just that, my problem. My opinion. My effort to get to the bottom of it and my right to discuss it openly with other users. Don't reprimand me for speaking about it. This is the second time that this has happened to me on this board. Some of you guys need to lighten up. People are not gonna stop buying Provari's because I'm having a somewhat minor, if unacceptable issue with mine. [/end rant] :)

Having said that, I don't agree with bashing vendors. And I agree that you should go directly to the source to resolve your issue giving them a chance to resolve it before you damage their reputation for their support of a product. As someone that owns their own business, I would rather have someone post about a problem and that I went above and beyond to fix it, than everyone say that everything was perfect, every single time. I see that and i think biased reviews. Just my 2 cents.

Peace, love and .... hairs.

I LOVE MY PROVARI!!! :)

I'm still on the fence about buying one so your comments are much appreciated. That will be more than I paid for my Silver Bullet and the 2 GLV's I've bought but the chrome provari is a very handsom mod indeed. I just just don't know if I need all the bells n' whistels. Hope everything works out for you.

Sam, I would be concerned too if I was thinking about shelling out $200 after reading the comments above. However, I can tell you this being a Provari owner. The experiences that are being described are abnormal and certainly more the exception than the rule. The guys at Provape are not only great to work with, but I think I have proven them to be some of the most patient people in the business. Countless emails and questions to them have resulted in every one being answered the same day. If you decide to jump, you'll be buying one of the premier PV s on the market. Not only do I love vaping with this unit, I believe I could use it for personal protection if the need arose. It's built that well.

Agree this is not awesome and quite contrary to the OP title of thread.
Obviously a QC and CS problem...

What makes a company awesome? Perfection? ain't happening.
Good CS for sure, but you haven't gone that rout before you post your complaint, and you leave it like that.
I am just saying that I would look at the bigger picture, and being that ProVape is an awesome company by all criteria, especially the tons of happy customers, and the fact that I like to support and have a relationship with a good provider of quality vape devices, I don't cut them short.

If being concerned is a fanboy thing, so be it. I've gotten three of Provari's and one had issues which were dealt with quickly. Overall Provari is an awesome awesome device imo.

I wasn't reprimanding you; just voicing my opinion.

While you framed this statement as a personal preference, its structure gives the impression that what you were really saying was "hey qlock, before you discuss any problems your having with a device that I love, why don't you go to the people that made it first." Right, because they're not biased at all. They may very well have amazing customer support, but I don't know that yet, this is the first time I've dealt with the company. So I came here to discuss it with people that have experience with this device and can tell me if its the norm or that I have an anomaly. You took it personally, because of your attachment, and it came through in your response. It came off kinda snotty.

I guess all we can talk about here is how amazing everything is. Got a problem with something, take it elsewhere, we don't want you to upset our vendors.

Just wondering- have you talked to the vendor yet?

Let us know how it comes out.

i hoped you wouldn't take my comment as a poke... really. and thanks for the info on your provari. hope you get it fixed and vaping asap.

:) It's all good. I was never really angry. In fact, I believe I had at least a little grin on my face each time I responded. :)

To update everyone, David from ProVape has just responded to me. He said that there is supposed to be glue holding the display in place, so it's definitely not meant to have free roam. He asked me to ship it in for SAME DAY repair and assured me that they would get me up and running as soon as humanly possible.

The only issue I have now is that I don't know if I can go without it for that long. This thing is that good! So if I send it out Priority, it'll take 2-3 days, then a day to fix and get back into mail, at which point it will take another 2-3 days to get back. I wish they had a loaner they could send me. I don't even have a back up PV at the moment. I could overnight it, but that's expensive and I kinda feel like that shouldn't come out of my pocket. hmmm. Think I'm gonna sleep on it.

unless someone has a spare Provari they can part with for a week. haha. it was worth a try right. :)
