This one caught my eye, and it's got three three's contained in it. I just like the number three :)
I'd flip for a few of these, especially if it had lumen sees totus lasered into the edge in place of the dimples...

Just to help give us a better idea of what may or may not be possible & how things would sort of look..

But could we get the the mark-ups of what we have so far sized down to actual size & then posted here for further review?

Thanks! :)

Hopefully this works..

Actual size, at least in MS Paint on my computer & also when my browser is viewed at 100%... :D

I'd like to see:
Your simpler eye/triangle, but bigger, and lowered so the hole is the pupil
A SINGLE "Provarinati" above.
Again, just playin.
Lumen phrase may fit, too...

The problem with that one is it's not to scale. For the eye to be large enough for the hole to be the pupil and fit inside the triangle it wouldn't leave much room for anything else.

I've been doing some pondering...

1) I still think the knobs are too busy
2) If we got rid of the circle it would make more space for text
3) The triangle we've been using is uneven. If we make it an equilateral triangle and thin the lines it will also make more space.

If we make the triangle slightly smaller the text can be bigger

Part of me is not convinced that fine details will turn out very well. It might be a good idea to have a simpler design as a back-up. This is just an example. I used this eye in my signature while Edd was working on the second sigil.

No matter which way we go with this type of design, it's going to be problematic. (This is from a photo of a ProVari end cap to make sure the hole was the correct size.)

PoM-PoM said we might be able to move the vent holes. Bobo has 3 holes that are slightly smaller than the one on the ProVari.

Maybe? If the ambigram was longer?

Ponder, ponder, ponder...

I like that last one.

I think this was posted before somewhere, but anyway...

See how little detail there is on the zombies? I wonder how legible it will be if we cram a lot of stuff on it.

ETA: The Jolly Roger has a little more detail, but again, the design is very simple.

ETAA: It just dawned on me how small the vent holes are on the Jolly Roger. I was concerned that ProVape wouldn't want them very small for safety reasons. I guess not.

Understood..

But shrink them down to actual size...

The caps are a tiny bit smaller than a quarter.

I held my standard end-cap right up to the monitor.. perfect match (okay, maybe off by a pixel or 3)...

Others may have to adjust their browser view...

EDIT: My set-up might be weird compared to others'.. Monitor set to 1600 x 900 resolution, but my browser is viewed at 125%... :D

So far one of my favorites. Would just want like to see the vent hole done as two smaller holes on either side of the emblem. Also, "provarinati" done in its regular font with "LUMEN SEES TOTUS" engraved around the rim.
ra6u2enu.jpg

Sort of a combination of the two I guess- lol
"PROVARINATI," only written once above the triangle; and, the rim engraving.
Definitely dig the emblem; I don't see it as too intricate for the machining process.

Not sure yet. Was thinking of using Gilder's Paste and I have this Blacken It liquid but I don't know if it works on stainless steel.

Blacken It blackens brass, steel, nickel-silver, copper and most metals except aluminum and stainless steel.

A-West Blacken-It

Doesn't Kenny do coatings? Maybe he can suggest something?

ProVape can put the vent hole(s) wherever they want. How important is it to you guys that the vent be the pupil?

Edit: I sent another email to David asking for clarification on the following:

No one has brought it up yet, but I would prefer to use an extension cap, rather than an extension and the flat cap. Plus, there's all that lovely room on the sides for engraving and it hasn't been done yet.

I love the extension cap idea. My favorite use is my Mini with the extension cap and the 18490 battery. The size and look is just right for me. And I could buy one of both caps! Great idea.
