The overall quality of the Provari is pretty dang nice. I've dropped mine a few times unfortunately and not a single blemish. There's also a one year warranty and once that expires, you can still have it serviced whereas once the MVP is done, it goes in the trash.

Also, it's super smooth to vape on. I've tried my friends' Vamo and SVD and they both have that rattlesnake effect with whatever chip those devices use.

I'm by no means a Provari fan boy, but I had to get one to see what all the hype was about. IMO the features and functions of it are nowhere near worth 180 they're pretty basic. I do believe what your paying for is the quality that goes into building it and costumer service they provide. It is the most durable regulated device I own, you can drop it on solid tile/concrete and it keeps on ticking. Made of solid stainless steel it's a hand grenade plus the precision on the machining is pretty top notch. I would compare it to a mechanical mod but with a chip in it. Hope this helps.

Its a rugged, quality unit. There is fantastic customer support. There is a legacy of experience out there from extremely knowledgeable people. Its one of the few types that have a smooth vaping experience. Yes, it is a status symbol too.And..the silver one is 159 dollars with free shipping not 180. The MVP's non replaceable battery will probably be long dead many times over before the Provari fails...

It's worth every dollar you spend on it. I have nearly one, some 2, of everything out there, yet I use the Provari 99% of the time. It's durable and gives a good Vape every time. They last and last.

My husband has went through 3 Vamos, while my Provari still works like new.

What will be my next high end purchase? Another Provari. :vapor:

Why is the provari so much money? I got my MVP 2.0 for 80 bucks. What's so special about it? Why are they demanding 180 on the website and how is it so much more special than a 60-125 dollar MVP? Can it do sub-ohm? Even if it could I got my mod for 70 and you can get MVP for 60. That's 130.

RJmod CATs and MVP 2.0

When the batteries go dead in the MVP 4-5 months from now what are you going to do with it?

My Provari is over 2 years old and still works as flawlessly today as the day it was purchased.

It also delivers a better vape and thats been proven on an oscilloscope for those who cant taste it themselves.

Thats why.

If you ever try one for more than 15 minutes you'll understand.

The below blog should be stickied. It contains a dozen links to previous threads just like this one.

Why Provari?

  • Exceptional voltage regulation - voltage output accuracy within 1% of user set voltage for the full duration of the battery's life. Your last puff will be as good as the first.

  • Exceptional PWM at 800+ Hz which many experience as a "smoother vape" experience, comparable to a DNA device. (No rattlesnake effect)

  • Exceptional parts/materials and craftmanship. 99% USA manufactured parts and assembly. You get what you pay for.

  • Exceptional reliability, dependability, and durability. Survival stories are legendary (see link above for stories).

  • Exceptional customer service/support. 1 year warranty, optional second year warranty at time of purchase. Continued support for life after warranty at minimal cost to the owner.

Mods made in China:

  • Many made with questionable parts/materials and craftmanship quality. Designed/manufactured cheaply in order to sell them cheap. You get what you pay for.

  • No customer service/support after the sale by the manufacturer. Broken mods become expensive paper weights.

  • What good are added "bells & whistles" features if the mod only lasts a few months?

  • Most use PWM chips at 33.3 Hz - 64 Hz, resulting in the rattlesnake effect.

I'll just rewire my MVP. Electronics aren't that hard. But thanks guys. I can't do 160-180 on it though. I'll take that money and drip like a boss and buy tons of juice.

MVP is fairly close to the same vape. If the vape was that much better on the Provari, owners wouldn't be using other devices- which they often do.

I don't own a Provari now, I sold it after vaping it constantly for over a year for about 75% of what I paid for it. I would have gotten more but it had been dropped multiple times and the matte black finish was worn from over a year of pocket carry.

It still vaped as well as when it was brand new.

I spent, on average, $5 per day on cigarettes and at the end of a month had nothing to show but stained fingers and a horrible cough.

IMO, it's worth every penny, I just prefer mechanical mods.

I agree with you there "like myself" it's pretty simple to solder in a new battery for the MVP, getting another chip to replace is a different story tho. Think of a Provari as an investment if you plan on being a vapor for the long haul. Kinda like buying a Harley instead of a Chinese moped lol. It took me 6 months before I bought one, I myself could never spend $70 on an MVP that's twice what they cost.

I been around a little over a year and this was going on when I got here.

(That is... get used to it. :) )
