I have an eGo twist and man can I say, the more expensive mods really blow this little thing out of the water. I'm still torn between the eVic or the Provari though! My dad has an eVic and its a great device for the price but it seems pretty unreliable. I have not even seen a Provari in person so I can't really compare. Should I just go straight for the Provari?

Provari all the way. Go with USA. I'm debating on buying my 4th one at the moment. Just saying. If it breaks you return it to the USA. If the Evic breaks, then you return it to the trash can.
Yea let the rant begin!!!!!!!! Bring it on. I've owned way to many Chinese mods that were good for about 3-4 months.

I have never seen or held a provari before, but I have been using my evic for almost a month now. Go for the provari. I am no provari fan boy, but deep inside I dislike my evic. I only use it because I feel guilty spending $80 on this thing.

Go the mech route:
- Mech mods are like $40-50 for a china clone (sigelei, kamry, natural, ggts, etc.)
- i2 charger on FT for $15
- Don't cheap out on batteries, about $15 for 2 good bats. $10 for 2 panasonic cgr at FT.

There's a good vamo v2 kit on FT for about $50. Comes with panasonic cgr and an i2 charger.
$53.33 Vamo-Vivi Stainless Steel Voltage Adjustable E-Cigarette Battery Compartment Set - with Nitecore I2 US battery charger/charger cable/2*Panasonic CGR18650CH 18650 batteries at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

If you can reasonably afford a Provari, get that. Cry once about the price, but you'll only be buying once. Why purchase a PV if the manufacturer doesn't support it, even if it is cheaper. Provape will give you a one year warranty for free, offers you a second year for a fee, and will always repair one even after the warranty. Can't get that from the Chinese-made mods.

Just take a quick look-see at both the Evic and Provari sub-forums here and see which customers are the happiest, and which ones are having problems.

And here we go again with the VV/VW debate.
If I want VW, then I'll use a kick module.
As:pop:
for the rattlesnake sound it's from the slow firing cycle rate of the Vamo/ Tesla. My Vamo lasted 3 months. If it's a pressed fit mod that I can pull apart with my bare hands then I won't support it. Still got one Vamo and two Tesla's. Both put in a box, so they don't break.

I refuse to participate in that debate any more. It's getting so old and tired. If you absolutely need VW to enjoy your vape, don't get a Provari...simple.

That must be a great vape. You can market it as a "Vape N a Box".

Tucson, it's a dry heat
I have an evic and like it but its my first Mod. The reason I chose it, two Batt choices and it is a passthru. nice menu, a ring and a button. Plus now there is two different people making tele tubes for it.

You sure about the passthrough aspect of the eVic? Mine doesn't work when plugged in. It's charging. I do love the battery life feature though - and you can adjust it (the setting) for different battery sizes.

EDIT: if you have the money, get the Provari - it's a workhorse and not slippery like the eVic (like I said, its delicate.)

Vamo isn't always for everyone. I got rid of mine - it makes a rattlesnakey hiss when I puff. I hate that. Plus you can't plug it in to charge - you must have a charger and extra batteries. YMMV.

The "rattlesnake noise" exhibited by the Vamo, and any of the "Max" devices from Sigelei, Smok, etc.. is because of the chip inside that regulates power output. Totally normal, albeit a little weird to experience while vaping, especially when it occurs for the first time. My wife damn near dropped her brand new VAMO. She's used to it now and it's a great device at an outstanding price! Everything you need.

But, as everyone else says, if you can afford the Provari, do it. It will be the last regulated mod you would feel compelled to buy. I own both a Provari and an eVic. Care to guess which one is my backup? =D

If you want VV, I'd go Provari if you can afford it, Vamo if you can't. I've vaped a friend's Vamo, and it's nice, but love my Provari. I don't know that much about the ZMax mods. If you don't need VV, there are a ton of mech mods out there that are well-built and sturdy. My husband loves his Greek Roller, and his wood box mod.
