Ive heard a lot about the Provari and seen it in action. My co-worker has one. My question is, is the Provari really the best? Are there any others that have the same features that are better? I want one thats going to tell me the Ω rating of the atomizer so I dont have to carry around a miltimeter to make sure im not overloading it with power. But the display is a bit of a turn off. Didnt we surpass that kind of technology 15 years ago?

So again, my question to you. Is the Provari really the best and worth dealing with the display to try and figure out whats going on with everything?

I had a Provari, I rarely used it..so I sold it!
I didn't mind it, but it really didn't appeal to me. I mean, if you like variable voltages, it's not bad...but I do think there are better models/makes out there.
There is always bigger and better. I don't use my variable that often, I usually stick to my eGO's.
To each their own, I say tests the waters with other mods..search reviews, etc.

I agree with ShayBabe, I bought the Vamo and it works great but I use my ego mostly I feel odd sucking on a lightsaber in public.
You might like the looks of the new Evic though.

Its 1 of the best on the market. its warranty and the ability to get it repaired years down the road.
Its a smart buy. Use mine every day. Don't have to worry about it breaking. Feels like a steel rod.
The price is high, which makes it hard to even consider, but its a great Pv.
What other VV pv were you thinking about that has a better more advanced screen? Evic?
Keep in mind, the evic might have a 1 year warranty but after that, a drop could be the end.

Believe it or not, my Provari is smaller than a Robust (which is considered to be a "small" PV)

I was looking at the provari last night as well as a few others. Aside from the crazy price of $200, what really turned me off it all of the button pushing. Push 15 times for this, push 17 times for that. Seriously?! For $200 you should be giving me more buttons so I don't have to push them so many times. It would annoy the stuffing out of my and I would end up throwing the dang thing across the room. There are better options for much less, not worth the money to me.

My provari v1 has taken a 3 story fall to pavement and survived, has fallen out of my shirt pocket numerous times. I've had to replace a carto tank or vivi nova but the damn provari will not die! Going to send it back to provape for an upgrade to v2 after I grab a "backup" pv at vapefest. That will most likely be a Vamo...but it's not cast in stone. I will also be purchasing another provari soon. No matter what mod/pv I own I will always be partial to the Provari when I am not at home. It's that reliable!

Is provari looking to upgrade their product in the near future and put it on the market?

IMO, why would they? The Provari is a winner just the way it is.

As far as price, just remember that someone in the US got paid to make it ... at US wages.
Or are you one of those folks that think US workers should only get China's wages?

I don't remember saying anything about price in that. I have no problem paying more to support US workers. Not sure why you would attack with that out of the gate. wasn't necessarily called for. I just want to know that the product that I'm investing my money in that I worked for in the US is going to something I really want and not something I'm going to regret down the road. This thread has nothing to do with the people making the product. It has to do with which product is better. I don't see how wondering if they are going to upgrade their product to stay ahead of the competition would be a bad idea. Competitors are going to come along (Z-Max) and they will eventually make a better product that takes away from the sales of the ProVari. It only seems natural for ProVari to continue to research and better their product so that they keep the gap large enough.

Now back on subject. I didn't know that the Provari had a lifetime warranty. All I've seen is that ProVapes.com gives a 1 year warranty with it and sells a 2 year warranty. I also didn't know you could send in an older product and be sent back a newer version of the product as DuffyA2Z was saying. That's pretty impressive. Those things alone might make up for the lackluster screen. I just don't see why they cant use something like a more legible LCD screen.

If you need a rugged, bulletproof PV, get the Provari.

If you don't, a couple ego twists will probably serve your needs...until you drop it on concrete.

The Provari is heavy. It is heavy because it is made out of machined stainless. Most of the other tube mods are aluminum extrustion.

Lol, point taken. Im currently using a eGo-V v2 MEGA 1200mah PassThrough, which has been dropped a few times and is showing. Its nearly to the point where the top of the screen is not legible. The plastic cover of the screen gets pushed under the metal body of the mod and scrapes layers of the plastic off. Once pulling it back out, there is a heavily etched portion of the screen. Each time its dropped on that part, it cuts away more of it. Also, when you drop it so that the tank hits first, the tank adapter portion starts to work its way loose and has to be hammered back in.

Cost was my decider on going with the Vamo. PBusardo (tasteyourjuice) has some good info on the differences between the APVs

That review made up my mind as well and I liked how easy it is to change from volts to watts, it was a great way to test the waters for mods. I figure all the money I saved can be spent on American made juice :)

I had many PVs but my Provaris have served me well. I totally understand the cost issue, but the thing to consider is quality. In general, my other PVs had issues within their first year (YMMV...vamo,z-max). My Provaris never had mechanical nor electronic issues. Again, I totally understand your trepedation; it took me a while (~3weeks before I could pull the trigger on a Provari). Overall I am a happy customer.

However, if you are looking for more functions then Innokin SVD might be the one. It has telescoping body, VW, stacked battery configuration and ego cone threading.

If you can afford it, and want something that is durable, then get a Provari. No, they don't have vw, but I don't need it. I have an eVic, and turned it back to standard vv after I used it for a couple of days. I bought my eVic at a co-op, so I didn't pay retail. Now, I think I should have simply put the cash back for something I know will last. Sorry to tell you eVic lovers, they're NOT that fantastic!
