Hello one and all. Despite already accumulating about 15 vaping devices there is nothing more exiting to me than when a new mod arrives at my door. Well Christmas came early for me this year with the arrival of my new satin black finish Provari. Before I knew it I was tearing that box open like a drooling wild animal.
Lets get back to sanity now.
Regarding Provari shipping times, I ordered mine on April 17 and received it 11 days later. I got the black satin My order number was 5436. I was very pleased. Being around vaping for over a year now and really educating myself about the devices, the technologies, the suppliers, the consumers and the politics I learned that I had come alone way from that first rip-off e-cig I got at the mall.
One thing I have noticed is that many experienced vapers have tended to migrate back to non-electronic excellently crafted mechanical devicesv- I''m talking not even a soldering joint. These totally mechanical mods are nearly indestructible and are works of art. Simple is a great feature. But it still leaves us in the stone age.
Who would have thought there would be a PC in almost every home on the planet. We can't stop progress friends. Mechanical mods are great but there is a rub to that type of anti-technology thinking.
A problem with the manual mods is you don't get constant a voltage vape over the full spectrum of the battery discharge cycle like you do with a 5V regulated circuit mod. The only problem is then you're stuck with 5V only and although it's convenient not to have to constantly top off the battery voltage to keep it at least above 4.0 volts, there is a new solution emerging.
The linear discharge curve sucks because every juice has its optimal flavor/voltage performance matrix and while the battery discharges you can only enjoy that sweet spot for a few moments. So what Provari has done is given you a range of 30 unique fixed voltages based on each vapers personal preferences. So the 5V regulated box mod for example is great if that happens to be the sweet spot for the type of juice enjoyed by the individual. Basically you run the mod at a constant 5V until the batteries cut off. With the Provari you can set a constant voltage up to as many as 30 different voltages all in one mod. So for each juice you will learn what setting to use so you get a great vaping experience.
My only worry is that as great as the Provari is, it is that this new miracle technology has not yet stood the test of time.
After just two days with the Provari I now regret I discarded juice in the past that I did not like because it tasted burnt or had a poor throat hit or a hinky aftertaste at a given voltage which the user had little control over anyway. .
I was tired of constantly taking my unit apart to get voltage measurement so I go the Provari.
The most expensive mods in the world won't do you any good until you find the right juice/voltage setting and then lock those setting into the mods on-board computer
I will covet my Provari until the next great thing comes along. Good Luck
