Thread title is clickbait.
Also $250 is only for the Ti or Stealth but most are $210 and some are $199.

Visit a successful mechanic. Does he own cheap chinese tools or SnapOn/Matco?

I had 5 Vamos in my first year of vaping.
I had issues with all of them over time and some from the start.
I still have 1 with faulty buttons but it works (kinda). The rest are in landfills.
I sold off my MVPs & VTR when I got my first ProVari.

I had 6 P2s & 2.5s from the classifieds. They cost me about 2 months of smoking.
I sold 3 of them to help offset the cost of my P3s.
The P2s are perfect for my nautilus & R91. I keep one on my w*rkdesk for while I w*rk.
I read enough good things about the subtank to want to try one.
Now I have a Ti P3 and 2 black P3s all wearing Subtank minis at ~17.5W
$650 for all three (sales & reward points). About 2 months of smoking.

I'd also like to own an SXmini but I vape under 20W 100% of the time so it would be a waste.
I'm over $5K in the black since I DIY and don't care about trends.

Haters gonna hate. Whatever.

speaking of the Rolex .... my Father bought a Rolex over 30 years ago, funny how, they still make the exact same watch today ... same style, same mechanism, same everything ... it is the same watch they made 30 years ago.

I can't really think of a 4 year old PV that is still made and sold today ... and I mean the same device they introduced 4 years ago.

Reminds me of the old saying ... why try to fix what's not broken?

Because it should lead to innovation.

One reason I haven't bought a Provari. Why fix what isn't broken. My volts, spinners, clone nemy with kick, MVP and now Smok 50 all work still. Granted Smok 50 is only a month old. Probably less than 300 bucks worth of gear. Oh yeah, I vape at 8.5w on a 1.8 coil.

That remind I need to dig up the brass nemy clone that has been in backyard for about a year. I am curious as to what the patina looks like.

It's a bit funny thing.
Provary owners had a lot of problems with cheap stuff, much (MUCH) more then average Joe with cheap stuff...

lol i just found it funny on their site, they list theirr 2015 classic as having 'subohm-capability',

"
  • Sub-ohm capability (Down to .9 ohms)"

a range of 0.1ohms is being sub-ohm capable? :nah:

160$+ for a 15watt mod is pretty ridiculous in todays market, i dont see them selling anymore unless its to people who buy into the provari 'reliability' hype, they are just falling way behind on their game. If you wanna go on reliability, I have stickstyle unbranded batteries and egos that still work that are 3 years old, but I would never buy another stickstyle or ego battery nowadays.
There is an update for the p3 that allows down to .5 ohm now

As I stated earlier, my P3 fires my 0.6 ohm dual coil RDA at 3.4 volts which is usually on my Silver Bullet mech. I'm assuming it came with the firmware update when I received it last month.

What I think is funny is these Provari threads are the same bashing as they were 5 years ago when the Provari was invented. Now tel me ..... what other PV has gotten so much attention for so long. (wonders if there is a reason for that)

Ya I know, the Reo has been around just as long, but it has never gotten the attention (pro/con threads) that the Provari has.
By anyones standard the Provari has become the most loved .. or hated .. PV ever invented.

Thats awesome... I went from ProVaris to REOs. I must be seriously Old School! I like things with a PROVEN track record. I'm willing to pay for that kind of quality. Now, I don't doubt for a second, that people have had a ZMAX or a Vamo give them a year or 2 of faithful service. I liked them both, actually. But, according to the past couple of years worth of threads, I don't think thats the norm. There's been so many threads about stripped out 510's and fire buttons that don't do anything....mods that won't turn on.....followed up by "what do I replace it with?" But the ProVari threads VERY rarely were about any problems, they were always about the price. If there were problems with a ProVari, the thread was about how fast they got it back...repaired. Or there were threads about the sheer abuse some of them took but didn't die. I'd say, yes...they're worth it.
From the looks of things, we won't be reading about anyone's 4 year old istick 50 watt....seems more likely we'll be reading about their insurance company covering the fire damage to the home! I do wish they'd make a nice box mod that hit 40-50 watts though. My guess is, if they did, it too would be worth the money.

Its funny everyone mentions innovation. The household speaker is based on a 100 year old design.
They try different things and the new age is heralded in with every new concept. Couples years go by back to the standard. Sometimes innovation isnt needed as much as its just people looking for the next cool thing that will sell.

Im glad the industry keeeps trying new things. But saying the old things suddenly dont work anymore is arrogant.

TC is being touted as the next step! Just as many people consider it a joke or novelty right now. When sales slowmdown china Will leave that one behind too.

Like every new tank is the kayfun killer! Kayfun is dead! Yea but vaperev and svoe mesto.ru cant keep them in stock we have different tastes but people have to quit thinking " i like this new tank better so you have to as well''

I am Looking at purchasing the 2015 classic, just because of durability and reliability. I've spent that much on 3 or 4 mods in less time than the provari would last...I like to think that it would be practical in the long run for me. I'm not interested in sub-ohm, and I like to vape less than 15 watts anyway. Plus, I like the look :toast:

I have the 2015 Classic and I love it! I also have the mini and again it's awesome. The 2015 is better, more options. You won't regret it :)

The reo people don't call everything else junk and there can be only one. Its a niche squonker device. There are a bazillion regulated mods.

I don't think I have ever heard anyone try to defend a Reo by saying it was American made as the reason to purchase one. It may have been one of the reason but not the sole.

OK, I should widen "borders" of my "a bit funny" thing: Provari owners not only have unbelievably high rate of cheap stuff falures, they also love to talk about hate.

I am in this thread because I want new vapers to know that there are more valid choices than just Provari and that in category price/performance provari is not the best, as iStick 30 is not the best in reliability. But for many new users iStick will be better suited than Provari because of its versatility and low cost (it's just an example).

    Not at all.

We arent trying to convince new users the provari is the only mod, we are trying to get people like the op to quit worrying about what other people buy.

Lets see we got threads about mods bursting into flames. Buttuns self firing Busardo thumbs downing the ipv 4 until the issues are fixed.

I asked about the invader got a list of issues.

Yup, sounds like only provari owners noticing problems...............

Well after you drop your plastic box 30 feet out a windowwindow and if shatters into pieces you'd understand.

Its pretty sad that on this side of the pond no one respects quality or has any interest in anything but Chinese junk.

There are plenty of mods in Europe that are just as expensive if not more, but they don't come here as the Walmart loving Americans show no interest if it doesn't come from fasttech. Hell I have attys almost as expensive as a provari.

Provari sales aren't hurting, and there not worried as you aren't the person they are after anyways.

If you could though, maybe point me to some threads about the mod bursting into flames, or the button not working, or charge port failing, or screens getting scrambled....

Oh wait , you cant, they actually work as advertised

If you don't like it, don't buy it but you shouldn't put down what you refuse to understand. Not everyone buys their shoes at wallyworld

sorry but you mistake my discussion about cost of their new products, for attacks/hate on provari. I am simply on one side of the arguement where I agree on the topic of Provari being on the costly side for what it is. If you disagree with me then bring some counter-arguements to the table other than bashing on 'chinese junk' or insulting people by saying they buy their shoes at walmart.

I find it kind of hilarious that some of the people who complain about ECF being full of drama, yet some people just dont know how to have mature conversations without throwing out insults, and taking everything to heart. Just because someone disagrees or is on a certain side of a topic does not mean they are your mortal enemy and 'hating' or 'causing drama', its called discussing the topic at hand...

Lol, you need to read more REO threads! And I've never heard anyone say buy a provari using American made as the sole reason either.
