At what voltage should I be using HV atty's? Anything above 5? Will LR atty's work good for 4 volts?

There is a rule of thumb that says atty resistance +2 volts (plus or minus).
I wouldn't use a 1.5 much over 4 volts or you will prolly kill it. Save those 1.5's for 3.7volts.
Standard 2.5-3.0 are good for 4-5+ volts. There is a 3.5 made for 5+ volts.

Hope that helps.

Edit: Yes, the Boge cartos will work great!

The LR's I got are 1.8-2ohms so I assume 4 volts would be perfect. Will not go over 4 though with them.

Those should be great at 4 volts.

I see some people use 302's on the provari instead of the 510's. Do these work better?

Do you mean LR306? They are pretty sweet too.
They have 510 threading, but you would need a 306 drip tip...they are an exposed bridge atty...the tip fits over the atty instead of slipping inside of it.

"better" is very subjective - attys are sort of like juices. Each person has their own preferences. Each atty model and resistance level sort of has its own "personality" in terms of vapor, TH and flavor from juices. 801 series attys (801, BE112, 302 and 4072) are known for being a more flavorful, slightly cooler vapor yet airy draw. Airflow can be manipulated to some extent depending on the adapters, which model of the 801 series and other manipulations. Bottom line, IMHO, when it comes to attys, like juices, you have to try a bunch of different models to find what YOU like.

Start with the lowest voltage first... if you get good vape you're better off for battery time. Just start low and work your way up.

I use a 2.2 reg joye 510 a lot and get great vapes at anywhere between 3.5 and 4.2 or so... it also depends on the type of vape you want. If you're feeling mellow go low, and if you need a super-charge go up.

The LR's below 2 Ohms rarely need more than 4... they were designed for 3.7 PVs and none of them are true 3.7v... the eGo was tested at 3.1 true voltage. The value in the Provari is that you can take a reg atty or a HV and put it through the range of volt settings instantly on command and get that
optimal vape for the particular atty... vs an eGo that gets a great vape imo with an LR, but that's about all it can do.

Will the boge 510 cartos work well on the provari?

yup they seem to be the most favored cartos...
What you will soon find Xhale12 NY, is that with the Ao setting and Pu and Pd, you can get a feel for what voltage setting (range) works for which Ohm (resistance). Boges carto's i believe, are around 2.5 + Ohm and work well on 3.7 PVs... so you're looking at the lower ranges again on the Provari... excellent choice...

I don't even use cartos myself, but Boge seems the wise choice according to most carto users.
Will the boge 510 cartos work well on the provari?
