On another note, I could be wrong but it looks - so far - like all the thread posted pics are using the 18490/18500 batts without the 18650 extension sleeve. If any of you beta testers have the 18650 extension, would you be willing to take pics of the Provari in each of its 2 configurations - possibly next to the same other items for size comparisons? T.I.A.

I'm confused by the most recent update. The update posted on 12/2 said they will start shipping the end of next week (12/10). But the new update today says they'll be shipping on 12/15. Which is accurate?

The latest update will always be the accurate one. We're trying to keep everyone up to date with the latest news. Things are fast paced and have a tendency to change quickly.

Yes - everyone will receive a shipment notice and tracking information once their order ships (starting December 15th).

12/15 is the official date when things start flowing. We will be starting with the first in and working our way through the orders. There are a lot so we kindly ask that you hang in there and give us some time to properly test and ship. Next week we will have a small handful going out, so those who were the first to order will be getting them and then the following week more will be flowing. When the order ships you will get a email with the tracking number.

The Presale ends on Wednesday 12/8.

Appreciate the offer. I have the extension on order as well. I was just asking, as long as the beta'ers are posting pics, if one of them might post some of both so we could see the visual diff - actually I know what 1/2" looks like

The extension cap was not provided for beta testing. From what I remember, it was not ready at the time they were being sent out.

To access the menu of options and adjust the voltage on the ProVari you simply press the button 6 times in a row. The digital display will turn on and you can flip through the voltage settings with each button press. Once you are done making changes, leave the button idle for 4 seconds and the device will automatically save your settings and the display will turn off.

NO, the LR will give a shorter life... it pulls more current from the battery, thus... shorter life

I would have to disagree at this point I'm not exactly sure why buy I get better battery life with a LR 306 atty(1.6ohm) at 3.7v that of a 3.3 ohm 510 atty at 4.8
