I would have to disagree at this point I'm not exactly sure why buy I get better battery life with a LR 306 atty(1.6ohm) at 3.7v that of a 3.3 ohm 510 atty at 4.8

Same here, I've been using an LR 306 on my Phidias since September and it's still going strong.

Can one of the beta testers explain something to me?

Is there only the one button, the same button used to activate the atty? Or are there other buttons used to raise/lower the voltage?

If there's only the one button, how do you change from raising to lowering the voltage level?

Also, any chance that the display will show remaining battery life? Is this something that can be done? I'd think that would be a great feature!

Thanks, can't wait for the ProVari to begin shipping!

Edit- and as for the batter life .... The led begins to flash when battery life is diminishing the faster the light flashes the closer the battery comes to being discharged fully...

Nick that's running an 18500 correct, I wanna know if the size of the unit is the same running either an 18500 or an 18650 and the difference is in the spring or the cap it self.???

Actually a 18490 but same I blieve.... And I'm not sure about the end cap as I did not receive the larger battery and end cap to test

From the web site:
ProVari Specifications:
4.1" L x 0.90" D (stock 18500 battery version) (without atomizer)
4.6"L x 0.90" D (with 18650 extension) (without atomizer)
so 18650 cap adds 1/2" and there is a picture of it on the web site (scroll): ProVari variable voltage e-cigarette! Order today!

OK thanks Nick,,,,,, can anyone answer this, whether the size of the Provari changes with the 18650 end cap or the cap is the same and just a smaller spring keeping the unit the same size or is the Provari bigger with the 18650 in it then when the 18500 is in it ???

ProVari Specifications:

4.1" L x 0.90" D (stock 18500 battery version) (without atomizer)

4.6"L x 0.90" D (with 18650 extension) (without atomizer)

my turn:
if i vape bellow the voltage that my batt is charged is the excess going to be wasted? (say it has 4V charge and i vape at 3.4)
sorry if its a dum-dum question.

Your 18500 or 18650 Batt I believe will fully charge out around 4.2 you will be able to vape until your batt slowly drains no matter what voltage you set it at. I dont believe there will be any waste of sort

from the posts, many are planning to use LR attys and 3.7v range...
is this notice something that is consequential other than possibly blowing out attys due to the power of the unit?
From the ProVari web site -

"Note: We don't recommend using low resistance atomizers/cartomizers on the ProVari."

I think the only reason they don't "recommend" LR are because they aren't really "needed" bc of the variable voltage.... Like I have said previously I do prefer a LR atty..

mama always told me not to waste...
These will of course change depending on the resistance of the element. Lower resistance = less time. Higher resistance = more time.
Just for comparison, let’s swap in the 18650 that you can also use with the extension cap. This AW cell is a 1600 mAh.

3 ohm at 4.2 volts = 18.45 hours.
3 ohms at 4.5volts = 17.22 hours
3 ohms at 4.8volts = 16.15 hours
3 ohms at 5.2volts = 14.90 hours
3 ohms at 6.0volts = 12.92 hours
And 3.3volts on this one is 23.49 hours
it kinda also answers Gummy's question on a different thread :)
