I'm just hoping that we don't get Goverment torture(over regulation) on our PVs. I would never say that regulation is bad but too much regulation and taxation is just plain bad IMO. Well, as with opinions and butts every one has one and i just put mine out there. I hope everyone are enjoying there provari and hope to get mine soon.

Wow! Some people don't have a clue. Anyway. The ProVari rocks!! Got mine today and it is awesome! If you havent ordered one of your "free market, private sector made" mods, get on it!!

Worth the wait wasn't drum747?? Has it left your hand since you got it? Happy Vapes

Nope!! I'm really liking the 4's. 4.2v 4.4v 4.7v, awesome device. It's smaller that I thought it was going to be. It is very well built!! I would highly recommend one!! Have you put yours down yet? LOL

What atty do most of you guys and gals use on your ProVari?

Should I try a HV 510? Does that allow more vap production, while keeping the flavor strong and not too hot?

Found a site that carries HV510's for $4.99, rated at 4.8 oHms... does that sound kind of high, or should those work well with the ProVari?

Also, will 801's work with the ProVari, or do we need some kind of adaptor? Any other atty besides 510's, and if so, is there any advantage to using them instead of a 510?

Thanks...still trying to figure this all out!

Shel

I really like the 4.8's ... I run them at 5.6->5.8V- occasionally at 6V-
It does shorten the battery run time a bit but definitely produces great vapor -
HV vapers know this intuitively but it's not easily explained.

I keep saying there is more to the equation than power and the 4.8 attys support that. I suspect that it has something to do with the fact that it has a longer coil inside but it's kind of hard to prove without a degree in thermodynamics....

From what I understand, the relationship between temperature and nichrome wire is a function of current- the more current through the wire, the hotter the wire gets. So a longer wire runs with less current at a cooler temerature but releases the same or more energy as heat over a larger area...

YMMV but try them.... I'm a big fan of them.

Only while sleeping and today I left it the car while skiing. Not really the type of unit I would like to accidenty drop off a ski lift. Went with two eGo batts and carts, no big deal if one of those gets trashed. I have been hovering around 4.7, 4.9 w/2.1 ohm 510 atty.

Just today was given a 5.0ohm 510 atty and an 801 atty at 3.0ohm. Also been using cartos (Boge & Bauway) from 1.8ohm to ~3.5ohm in addition to a 2.5ohm 510 atty and a couple CE2-R4 (stock/unmodified) @ ~2.7ohm. Couldn't tell ya which I like best because no matter what I use I can dial it in to be good (and really, it's all subjective). Each attachment seems to have it's own variation on delivering flavor and fog. Love the smooth vapor from the 801 and 5.0ohm 510.

I took mine skiing last weekend. Stayed nicely in my chest pocket and didn't even need to take off my gloves to get at it..

David- Suggestion for an accessory- someone had asked earlier about wearing it on a lanyard-I don't know if I'd want to walk around with it dangling all day but I didn't think about a safety lanyard... would be cool if we had a thin metal ring with a tab on the end that could attach to some kind of safety lanyard- something that might fit between the endcap and the main tube like a thin washer - would work on the chair lift, on boats or any other place you'd want to use it without without worrying about dropping it ;-)

Man even w/a lanyard I would be nervous. I beat the hell out of my equipment and body (still skiing bumps at 45 and 2 knee surgeries) and that ProVari bouncing around makes me a little nervous. I also average I major yard sale a year and usually end up donating a piece of equipment during the event (last 4 years... 1 broke ski, 1 composite pole, 1 mp3 player, 1 rotator cuff). I would hate to add the ProVari to that list, so if the mountain wants a PV from me I will glad sacrifice an eGo. Happy vapes jimho and lets hope the snow will pile up this year!

I hear you but I took a few pokes off my ego with an LR atty and it just didn't do it for me... it was just too tempting to take the ProVari with me - and it worked out great .... A lanyard would be to keep it from falling when you take it out of your pocket on the lift, not an insurance policy for an all out yard sale ;-). Besides, a good pair of composite poles costs almost as much as a provari anyways.... they're just easier to break and easier to find...

And yea, I spend alot of time in trees (conditions permitting) and bumps, and I'm 48 - not too many major yard sales any more though- would really suck in the trees - I do try a bit harder to keep my skis on the ground these days where the edges work. - and I'm more of a slow and steady skiier than a top skimmer ... used to get out 50+ days a year - now i'm lucky if I see 20- funny how having kids can do that to you... Actually, for first time in 20 years, I just bought a pair of new skis before my old ones were shot- so I guess I'm slowing down a bit...

You're up near Saratoga- where do you usually ski? How much new snow did you get yesterday?

Got my ProVari in the mail today :hubba:

Currently using a 510 cartomizer with my homemade cinnamon pear and it's vaping up a storm. Set at 4.8 and its perfect with a cartomizer :)

Outstanding craftsmanship and it works flawlessly. The finish is very nice, love the grooves in the tube...so my clumsy hands can keep ahold of it. Really appreciate the little instruction manual that comes with it. And, i only had to charge the batteries for a few hours until they were fully charged. Unheard of !

Thank you so much for working so hard to get this last batch out to all of us. I really appreciate the extra effort and overtime you guys put in.

Those of you who havent received it yet.....oh wow....You are going to be so pleased !

Ended up w/about 7" at my house but the wind is taking care of it right now. Usually ski Killington or Gore. We sound about the same was @50+ days now lucky to get 15! I don't skim em either and love the trees. Just seems these last 4 years I have had to pay for the dance with one good fall! I hope that is over since it seems like it all gets saved up for a real humdinger when it comes. Past two winters sucked hoping for better this year but it has started out weak. K was awesome today w/12" in some places but really windy. How about you? Where is home mountain?? Big Hitter is about our age and in the Binghampton area, maybe we should plan a little vape and ski day.

Another day with the ProVari...
I started vaping at 8am... It's day three on a pure smoker standard carto, which I vaped on the 35 minute commute... The ps carto is impressive in it's own right... And at about 10 am the mail man dropped off an atty order I was waiting for which had several 3 ohm 801s, some 4.9 ohm 510s and some 2.8 ohm 901s. These are all sailebao attys.

Today was the day to try out all of these variables.

I'm a huge 801 fan, so I got out my adapter and rigged the slb 801 to the ProVari, dialed it up to 4.2 volts and proceeded to really enjoy that smooth, satisfying 801 vape that I really love... I dialed it up a notch to 4.3 and it was dead solid perfect. The flavor of my juice in an 801 atty is spot on... It's hard to imagine a better vaping experience. I used the 801 for a bit, then I pulled out the 510 at roughly 4.8 ohms...

The HV510 atty is just terrific, not as much throat hit as the 801, but it wasn't lacking either. I really like HV vaping, and I was at 5.5v, a perfect voltage for that atty, I twisted it down a bit to 5.2v and things really came to life. Another great vape... I prefer the size of the 510 over the 801, but in spite of that preference, the 801 was the clear winner.

I then dialed the ProVari down to 4.2 and popped on the standard 901 atty... It did a good job

So with all the voltage changes in the upper range of the ProVari one would expect the battery life to suffer... Not happening here... I pulled over 15 hours Out of that 18650 battery consuming just shy of 10ml of juice.

This thing is amazing!

i am still loving mine.....510 atty, 2.1 ohms, 4.9-5 v....vb blueberry pie.....mmm mmm....all is good...:)
i'm not a VV vaper, but if the Provari is to be my intro to it, this is easy!

So far I have stayed within ranges that i understand... like i'm used to 3.1v to aprox voltage of an eGo batt, to a "3.7" mod that is a little spicey, (guessing my Phidias at about 3.4v).. btw if the eGo is 3.1, there is no true 3.7 pv imo.

Since i use anywhere from 1.7 Ohm to 2.2 for those above mentioned, i imagine one would go correspondingly higher in Ohm/voltage reltationship....

but... i guess not. ;)
My juices are mostly VG, and seem to do well in the lower heat ranges; not sure if that is a legit.

Home base is K for the last 20 years... Day trips to Jiminy or Wyndham- Hunter is good but not on weekends or holidays...
Was up at K on the 18th&19th- wasn't bad for early season.
They claimed 14 new in the last 48 hrs but they always lie ;-)
Vape&Ski sounds like a good idea- after new years....

OMG, not "Binghampton" it's "Binghamton" ;-)

I get a kick out of the added "p" even when meant as a joke. I grew-up there but moved to VA after finishing college at UAlbany. I don't miss much there except for the Spiedies!!

Anyway, I know the next shipment isn't until January but I'm hoping for a nice birthday surprise today. Hey, a guy can have hope, right? LOL.
