i got a vapemate (in fact planning on using it on my Provari)... because it is not a bottom feeder.
imo bottom feeding leaves something to be desired... too much juice lots of times but mostly because dripping is a better vape imo...
dripping is top feed; right on the wick mostly.. taste is better.

the VM is a top feed.. but you're right too... there are a lot of variables in how you get the juice through the VM to the atty, and how much... (overdripping/flooding is a PIA)

the Provari has a sweet juice well; lots of room.

I haven't even put my VM on it yet because i like to drip using my 1/2oz bottle/needle set up from racers-edge.com or my defunct wetbox.

Lots of folks are loving the VM... and getting the right amount; some using a tube mod in the bottle so you don't have to turn it ....

Have to think about the VapeMate, but I appreciate the tip!

I did see one at a get together with other So. Cal vapers, and wasn't that impressed. It just seemed like a hassle, having to turn the entire device upside down, not knowing exactly when enough juice reaches the atty, etc. The guy who broght it had just received his, and while demoing... it dripped all over the place. He had to keep wiping up juice that had leaked out (but I do realize they've now come out with different/better bottles).

I guess I compared it to my Ali'i. On the Ali'i, there's no guesswork necessary. Simply squeeze the bottle, the juice goes up the tube, and you can see when juice starts to escape from the bottom of the atty. As soon as you see juice coming out of the holes in the bottom of the atty, you stop squeezing, and it's done.

Also, with the Ali'i, you hold it right side up, so you don't have to worry that if you DO send too much juice to the atty, that it'll drip down onto your cloths, or whatever.

Could be I'm making a bigger deal about dripping with the VapeMate, but again, I'm comparing it to what I know and what I use, which is the Ali'i.

I still may decide to pick one up, once the ProVari arrives. LOVE SuperT, they are an excellent company!

Again, thanks for the tip!

I've been using the vapemate on the provari since Thanksgiving- its well made and it works fine for me with the tube mod (see the vapemate threads) and pin hole in the tube (which stops the autofeed issue) not really a hastle to use, but I find it a bit awkward to cary around. I have no intention of parting with it anytime soon although I'm interested in alternatives...

Has anyone tried the AFS with the pro-vari yet?

Yes Jim actually I have I feel as though the afs is more of a Hassle to work than anything. This of course no fault of the provari I found myself feeling the most comfortable using a modified 808 carto in the unit.. ( solves all leaking issues around the control ring)

Thanks Nick.
Would have been my next question ;-)
So for now, the 808 carto mod and the vapemate seem to be the best two alternatives out there....

to bad........might just have to order one at 13 bucks and give it a try, IMO all cartos should be clear

Make one. CE2 + standard 3ml syringe + cheap pipe cutter = clear carto. Almost 1am here and I'm about to crash but instructions and YouTube vids are easily found.

I got in on that coop to get the see-thru e2 3 ohms cartos for $1.25 each (not paying ANY vendor $13 for one carto) - and looking forward to trying those on the ProVari. But won't have them until sometime mid January.

Ya..I got in on the coop. I would have made some myself but for $1.25 each..nuff said imo. Where can I get some info on AFSv2?

Thanks

Rowdy :vapor:

My ProVari. . ..it's a beautiful device. Can't even imagine hanging any kind of feeder on it and making it look like an erector set. I just don't see the need. With XL carto's holding 1.8 mLs of juice, I'm set to go for quite awhile. I suppose, for insurance sake, I'll carry a spare loaded carto in my pocket. JMHO

Merry Christmas All,
Cheers,

the Provari is awesome. its freaking easy to navigate through the menu and change volts or whatever.
a few months back i got my first variable device and then made a variable box with a TI booster. than sold the "screwdriver hustle VV" for i didn't need it anymore. now that i got my Provari i think i could sell my Varbox...
