mwa or anyone tech orientated is there a reason that the Provari wouldn't work with a HR MAP tank at 3.2?
I am still waiting on mine #3233 and I'm not mechanically/electrically inclined so I'm curious.

It would be no problem at all! I use the 2ml Clear E2 mod with at 3.2Ω and find, for me, the perfect setting is 4.0v. Cigarbabe ....you're going to just love it!

Agree- I did not find 1.7 ohms @ 3.6V to be much different, but with HV atties (3.6 and 4.2) and boost as high as 6V, run times were signficantly less....

Add: I also know Uke has a big stash of ~2.0 and 2.2 atties....

I have a vault full of the newer Mini 2ohm and HV-801's Jimho, dialing in the 2ohm Mini 801 between 4.0v-4.2v is the absolute best. As for the HV I love it @ 7.4 with two stacked AW 3.7 123A's on another mod best, there awesome like this, fill em up to the bridge and vape vape vape, but using the Mini 2 ohm 801 on the Provari is indeed a treat !

For those using regular protected non IMR batteries you may notice that your device appears to turn off by itself.

If your using non IMR batteries and you have batteries that have the built-in protection, what can happen is if you draw too much current from the battery it will trip the batteries shutoff circuit and it would require that you remove the battery and reinstall before it comes alive again. This is built into the batteries circuit and is not a problem with the ProVari.

This won't happen with the IMR batteries.

Actually, it does. I bought 2 AW IMR 18650 batts with my ProVari order and it's happening with both batts. The batt voltage gets to 3.5-3.6 and the ProVari won't vape. It's happened several times now. It doesn't happen all the time but enough to make me wonder what's going on. I remove and re-insert the batt and then it vapes again.

When it happens I check Cb and it won't read the volts. The display shuts off with Cb still showing. When I remove and re-insert the batt the ProVari will vape again. I then check the Cb and the volts read 3.5 or 3.6. I haven't changed vaping voltage or my carto. Sometimes it just goes dead til I remove and re-insert the batt and sometimes it will go all the way to the 3.4 volt cutoff and the button flashes red.

Other than that, the ProVari is working aok.

with the Provari and 2.2 Ohm i don't anticipate the need for a big stash of attys... a joye reg 510 or a Titan 510 runs a nice range of vapes from 4v down to 3.4 or 3 .5 for a mild yet full vape (depending on the juice and the mood).

with the Provari you can dial in by .1 degree up or down, to get it just right for those factors (juice/ mood)

i figure this info is good for newbs who want to start their vape careers with first rate equipt.

I have a bunch of different attys and cartos even, from my 4 or 5 nonths in the ecig realm... darting here and there, thinking one pv would be "it" and stock up on the accessories, then another and another... ha

with the provari, i can get the best/better out of each !!! who'd of thought one PV could do it all...

i do have some higher resistance attys lined up just for Pro vari as well... heheh :)

...thanks to jimho; for pointing me here (and earlier, to that one other non vv pv that i can't do without now)... i am so satisfied.

I've had that happen once when pulsing with a 1.7 atty- turned out it was an intermittently shorting center post - It was a cheapie and had lots of use - wouldn't be surprised if I had overtightened it at some point in its life ...I didn't bother disecting it, just tossed it in my dead atty draw. Hasn't happened again.

I agree - I run the 801's a bit higher ... actually sitting here with a 3.2 801 running at 5.9V.... whereas I tend to run a bit cooler with 510's - I've stacked to get 7.4 also with 4.5 ohm attys- too hot for most of my juice and way unstable...
.... I need to get some of those mini's though- I just have too many attys sitting around .... are they really that different than the semi's? I was thinking of cutting down one of my 801's with a tube cutter to see if it makes a difference.

don't know if it's just me, but my mini lr 801 got clogged up too soon.... hard draw.
but this is on another 3.7v pv... maybe cranking it up on the Provari will clear it out some...
