some chargers, like the Pila, have an overcharge protection... that's wht you need.
May I ask, I suffer color blindness and am worried I will overcharge the Provari 18650 and 18490 batteries when my order comes through, I have difficulty in distinquishing between red and green on the charger. Any advice on recharging? Should I charge to a maximum time and not exceed that or what?

JWebb, there is no worry about leaving your batts on the charger for too long. All of the modern battery chargers stop charging when the batt is full. If you charge a battery while you are using the Provari, it is pretty safe to say that it will be completely charged by the time the Provari is warning you that your battery is just about dead. Hope this helps.

You're not alone brother. :(
One little trick I have learned over the years is if you take a red piece of glass or plastic and cover the light on any wonderful red/green light device the green light disappears. So while looking through the red glass just remember Green is gone. :)
Also, if your charger is a TR-001 look real close as you put a drained battery in and out. You will see that the red light is actually in the very center and the green light is off to one side.
Hope these little tips help. It does suck to be red/green color blind.

The Pila and WF-188 chargers will not overcharge your batteries. I don't know that it is the best answer but it is accurate. I have left 18650's on my WF-188 all night and it still reads 4.1-4.2 in the morning. If you start charging at around 3.3V, in three hours (or so) you should be good to go.

Not always! I get to avoid the dumb questions like: "Does this [enter dumb item here] look good with [enter dumb item #2 here]?"

LOL. No doubt dude! Forgot about the advantages. And why don't they just teach them in that special womens class they ALL seemed to have attended, to not ask guys those kinda questions. We don't care!

Thank god for Blue jeans; boots and white socks.

JWebb,
You'll be fine with Provape's charger. It's a Trustfire TR-001, a budget charger that works well and stops charging at 4.19V, which is perfect for the Provari battery.
