so apparently it "varies" (pun?)... from unit / atty ...

imo, that's not an issue... one definitely has choices of sweet spot/ atty combinations to satisfy majority of tastes.

Every atty vendor i've seen says not to use higher voltage than what a "3.7" device will provide, so Provape is in the conventional ranges. The point is that with the Vari, you have a wide choice of resistance to voltage...to suit the majority of vapers.

i prefer reg. 2.2-ish Ohm attys at anywhere from 3.6 to 4.5v depending on the atty and how abused or fresh it is. (my favorite is a DSE 901 2.8 - 3.0 Ohm at those voltages).

Granted, a 4.5 or higher Ohm HV atty is not a great idea if you like your vapes pushing to the max. It won't get it at those upper ranges... nor at the lower ranges (LR). Not an issue for me.

I don't know Stonemull, I'm not experiencing any issues which you are describing. As I'm writing this, I'm using my ProVari at 5.1V with a Joye 510 atty metering at 2.2 ohm without any E2 errors. I just tested it and the E2 comes on at 5.7V with this specific atty. Hmm....

I'm not sure what to say either other then I'm dizzy now from having DDed a Joey 510 atty metering @ 2.2 @ 5.7 for the past 20 minutes now. E2 @ 5.8. Man talk about burning up some juice!

hmm, I just retested mine and it seems to be working better than it did previously. Running a 2.2Ω carto and getting 5.7V. There is no way I was getting there a few weeks back.
One thing I noticed a while back was that the bottom cap on mine was getting warm at times with higher energy vaping, so I now add a 0.5mm magnet to the base of the 18650. This seems to have helped the low battery cutout not trip quie so early.

I doubt it explains why no E2 now when I was before .. perhaps a faulty atty previously was tripping it.

EDIT: This could in fact explain an E2 error since currents are increased when the battery voltage is being lost in the spring contact.

I will stick with my theory that it doesn't like LR attys etc .. I have edited my previous post to note this info too. I so love me provari .. more so in the last few weeks with less errors.

Vape360,
Just got my Provari and the draw is very airy. I can't screw any of my 510 attys all the way down on the connector. There is always a small gap. Have to draw long and hard at any voltage to get decent vapor. Is is it possible that the battery post is set too high? Should I return it?

I just got another Pyrex drip tip ("tapered" is my favorite)... it is the ultimate D/T for the ultimate dripping machine. I have a cobalt blue Pyrex for one Vari and a clear for my second... I vape juice flavors on one and my deeper flavors on the other.

I like 2.8 to 3.0 Ohm attys the best, at anywhere from 3.7v to 4.5v... right in the zone.

fwiw, Theecig sent a free 3ml of Sin-A-Bun 24mg.... it is VERY GOOD... their prices are not cheap and shipping is only priority. I got the little d/t in a priority box! I think there is a discount if you buy a certain $ amount.... don't be afraid of ordering their juices, and i would have been better off ordering the 4 d/ts i now have, all at once... heheh.

Bruce from Clouds of Vapor carries the 510~eGo adapters.

Adapters

Thank you PKZ. That's half of what they're charging at Avid Vaper. The one's at AV say that while the atty threads are 510 compatible the cone threads are not eGo compatible. I wonder if COV's are both 510 atty thread and eGo Cone thread compatible.... Have you purchased one of the COV adaptors PKZ?

I have 4 of them. They take some working in to get them to connect on the vari after about 20 mins or so it works like a dream. My tank atty fits perfectly. Well worth the work

Does an eGo Cone cover screw onto the outer threads kellie?

Like this one-> eGo 510 atty Cone Cover

Yes, The cone threads on the 510~eGo adapters that Bruce carries have the same threads as the tradition eGo cone.

I believe that no matter where you purchase this adapter you’re going to run into this thread issue.

I used a dental pick and ran it through the threads of both of my adapters and had to pay more attention to the starting thread on one of the adapters to get them to screw on to my ProVari.

Edit to add:

The cone threads on the 510~eGo adapter that Advid Vaper carries will not fit the tradition cone threads, as they are different.

Thank you PKZ for that answer! As to the 510 threads, I have a 7X0.5MM die so I can easily clean up the threads with that if needed. You're probably right. A lot of adapters I've had in the past have had pretty rough threads out of the box.

I will probably order one of these from COV but I'd still like to hear Stonemull chime in with a link to the one's he's ordered. I mean, they're less than half the price again according to his statement and I don't mind the wait from China for this kind of item.

Im just amazed how well the drip shield + 510 + 510 modders connector works on my ProVari. 3 or 4 drops into the 510 and never a drop of liquid in the juice well.

Maybe I'm not very bright but I'm not visualizing this...
1) Where does the modders connector fit into that? And why?
2) Does the drip shield work slide over the Provari connector, down into the juice well? And does it then work like a juice well and suck up the juice back into the 510? And does it restrict airflow - I heard it pleasantly reduces airflow on a 901...something the 510 doesn't need.

And whyTF doesn't anybody sell a one of these (link below) things in the form of an adapter?Juice well - Vapers Forum
