I love how I can pop in and out of here and click on my recient feed and have it peppered with such randomless...and a provari picture envolved...and sometimes bacon...no matter how far to the dark side of the moon the rant goes there is the bases always seem to be covered. Better than day time talk and nighttime informercials....except for the food network, they never envolve bacon...

:toast:

throws (provari) in randomlly (provari) to appear on (provari) topic so this (provari) post appears to have (provari) some (provari) relevence...hey, I think I've (provari) discovered a new form of (provari) torrettes....(provari)

Today I managed to stop vaping my ProVari (ON TOPIC! BOOYAH!!) long enough to set up a new aquarium...

It's a 36 Gallon bow front tank, freshwater... No fish yet... Pretty sure I'm gonna do a Cichlid tank...

Anyone else here keep fish? I need to do a lot of learning!

I have some in the freezer, if that counts for anything. *shrug*

The Provari along with some good NET's goes great with the Grill and blackened Cedar plank Salmon or Tandoori Shrimp skewers. :D

Nice looking tank there, dam718.

Good morning, Provarinati!

Me... but it would be a very long conversation, I had reef tanks for years as well as freshwater, I still say fresh is more work, especially with aggressive and carnivorous fish. What kinds of cichlids?

After Thought: This is a dangerous topic for me, I've been fighting the urge to get another reef tank for a few years now, I cried when I had to take apart and sell my last one, I tell myself I could just do a fresh water tank but I know better.

I'm willing to help you, But I would really recommend finding a fish forum out there somewhere, Depending how serious you are about this hobby... As for me, I'm like a fish addict, Just one fish tank and I'm right back in it!!!

The first thing you need to do is cycle the tank, before adding anything expensive or beautiful to it, All this means is putting some guppies or other non expensive fish in and letting a layer of aerobic bacteria build up on your filtration system, you may want to consider getting a larger BIO filter with messy fish, once the chemicals have balanced out in the system it will be safe to add a single nice sized fish, then wait for the system to balance out to the newest member and then get him a friend, But, this is the tricky part with aggressive fish as they are territorial and will attack the new member... there is alot to learn, at any one time the system can only handle what the bacteria has grown to handle without causing chemical spikes in the tank and killing fish.

I keep having after thoughts, The best way to do aggressives is adding a few small ones all at once after the system is cycled, and then limit food as to not over stress the system with waste, and as fun as it would be to watch them rip apart the guppies (aka the cycling fish) it would send your system on a roller coaster ride that would most likely end in death for the whole tank... anyway, as you can see this is just getting the BIO system setup and it's already getting to be long.

Ah crap... then there is water hardness (Ph) errmm, This all depends on the fish too, NH3 and NH4 change with this as well and will be a factor in fish death... Ok, I'll stop here as I really don't know how much of this you may already be aware of.

I have in the past. Keeps the cats busy... for about a week. Then I just have an empty, half-full aquarium to clean up. Cleaning them is ok, the first couple times. Tolerable a few times more. Then it just sucks.

Saving it up for amateur night, I'd bet. Working Wednesday?

Nope, Tues & Wed are my weekend. Doing a double shift on Turkey Day, our busiest day of the year. Practically the whole Marco Marriot will be coming through for Thanksgiving dinner. Me and a bunch of other folks from the restaurant are gonna get together for our own Thanksgiving on Tuesday night.

This may be crazy talk but none the less it's something I have noticed, and also why I'm so glade there is a place like this to discuss what some may see as off topic discussions.

As we all know ProVari provides better flavor and vapor (Most of the time) Now before I get roasted let me finish. and continue with the point I was making.

I am so glade these threads exist because... Not all toppers act the same or taste the same on other devices, I have some dripping attys that just taste awful on my provari, But are fine on my twists... and alot of this comes back to juice, while the ProVari brightens up almost every juice flavor, sometimes it also brightens up nasty undertones in the juice that I would never notice on a different device.

So, my point is this... Without a ProVari discussion corner for things that might seem off topic to others, I would be left to talk to people that are using other devices and giving me their honest opinions of toppers and juice flavors that in light would just taste awful on my ProVari.

So I would like to thank ECF and the moderators for giving us this gift!!!

This may have been said before but it doesn't matter to me because this is my personal Thank you to them!!!

Edit: Decided to make a thread for this TY :)

Score!! I got my hands on another eBaron Dripper Pro in the classies yesterday! These things are just incredible and since I have two *ProVari's* I needed two eBaron's. Yes! I haven't used a tank since mid September. I went from two 2 -3 drop atties to the eBaron's and am about as happy as I think I'm going to get vape wise. I would highly recommend these eBaron drippers. After priming and then adding roughly five drops thereafter those five drops last me about twenty minutes. And the flavor is fab, no muted flavors like in the tanks I've used.

I still want a stealth mini but I'm firmly making a commitment to not buy one unless I sell my satin mini first. After much thought I've decided that having two ProVari really is enough and if I'm going to get a stealth, I'm going to have to give up one of the two I already have. I'd love to collect ProVaris but when I look at the situation head on, more than two really is just a luxury. We're are talking ProVari here, I am totally set with two. I really dig the stealth. It's to bad our ProVari subforum doesn't have a classified section of it's own so if I do sell my satin the lovers of ProVari will see it first. The ProVarinati need a secret code that can be sent out to the other members of the cult warning of an impending sale! :D

I joined an aquarium forum, but I don't have the ability to post there yet... :) I didn't expect a readers digest of how to kick off the cycle, but I do appreciate the feedback! I had considered fishless, but I don't think it will be as effective as using little guppies or whatever other cheapie fish I can get my hands on...

Yeah, BIO in a bottle is iffy at best, depending on how much of the live active cultures are there and dormant in the mix. sounds like you're off to a good start.

I have tank envy on a different level now, lol!!!

Edit: I would always ask for 2 large bags filled with tank water w/ the cycling fish, Suspended in the water along with all the other mess are good live bacteria, Just for the initial kick off I would always add them large bags of water right into the new tank along with the fish.

So someone posted they ordered a Futura with a link. I wanted to see what they cost and when you order one you have to pick a color or custom. So if you click custom it gives you a link to go to another web page,
Cerakote Firearm Coatings.
Cerakote Coatings: Finishes
Seems like they charge $35 for a mod.
