I'm not very happy right now. I talked to a very nice woman at their store who told me that they are willing to take it back for a full refund or exchange but I have to pay to ship it back because as she said "we don't do refunds or exchanges normally".

I also found out that all these minis were store display which explains the nicks in mine.

I just went back to their website and look at the line I saw below the picture of the provaris "Warning** Some of these units are displays and have minor imperfections in the paint."

I could have sworn that I checked for that yesterday before I ordered because I always check carefully...having gotten burned once before...and didn't see that. @Pamawoman did you see that warning?

No I did not, but I was hurrying to order because I didn't want to lose my dragon. I will def be looking more closely from now on.

So the purple Provari arrived but it has about a dozen nicks in the finish. I don't mind keeping it as is since it is now difficult to find these devices anywhere but DFW should have made it clear it is a blem. I sent them pictures and asked them for a partial refund. Will see how it goes. You can see some of the nicks in the photo.

I also have a question for @WillyZee. As you can see from the photo the finish on the device is flat and not shiny unlike the extension and both my hot pink one and my red one. I don't mind that it's a different finish I was just wondering about it.

Bea, they should have let you know the mini had blemishes. It won't affect it's vapability, but they still should have said so. As to the finish, if memory serves correctly, there were two finishes Provape used when they were churning these out. Cerakote, which would be like the end cap in your picture and a flat finish, like the mini you just received. The Cerakote finish is certainly more durable as it's a ceramic coating.

I found it for around $50, exercising restraint :(

I am thinking about getting one for my nephew. Do you think this would work for a dripping cloud chaser? Me and him vape exactly the opposite of each other. LOL

Thanks for explaining the different coatings.

And that's what I told the Customer Service Manager about the blems. It's one thing to have what they call "minor imperfections in the finish" and quite another to have about a dozen nicks and some deep enough that you can feel them. The vapability would not be affected and after some use there would be nicks. IMO it would still be worth the $50 considering what I paid for my first one but it's the principle of the thing.

Well, I am sending it back and exchanging it for the copper one which they assured me has no blems. We shall see.

BTW if anyone still wants to buy one they have more showing up on their drop-down menu again, including another dragon!

the pale purple is an older ProVari (from 4 or 5 years ago) ... the cap is from a Sangria Purple that came out about 3 years ago.

all the same devices.

Probably not. Cloud chasers typically require more watts than these put out. Before you buy it for him, find out where he typically vapes to make sure this will deliver what he'd need.

Thank you. I almost bought him one. He works at a Vape shop so he gets different gear all the time. He prefers cash from me. LOL

I think they are 120 watts, is that enough? I don't cloud chase, I just liked the design

I'm not sure, I don't do either :(
I watched some YouTube reviews and those guys were blowing clouds! I did see that there are two different ones. The pic I posted was for the dual battery, 120 watt.

I was looking at some of the comments on here about Gearbeast and they do not seem to have a stellar rep so I will wait until the next shiny TC mod hits my fancy.

That really sucks, don't blame you for being upset.

There are other places to purchase besides Gearbeast, if you change your mind. This is the battery compartment I was referring to
