Ya know, it's funny (funny, cool...), I had a feeling you were you were actually going to ask today and I seriously appreciate it. Today is the first day I've had a chance to jam since Saturday. So, without further ado....

I get that. I was the same until I tried the tights. Aside from feeling like a cute ballerina (I'm a guy FWIW, LOL) on long rides as @stols001 pointed out, so much more comfortable.I honestly don't know where to start with dedicated riding gear
My wife got me a pair of cycling shorts, and I have a pair of undergarment shorts...hint...looks like baboon ....
Iwear them occasionally under my cargo shorts kinda incognito style. I get a big kick out of smoking some glam wannabee with my button top plaid shirt waving in the breeze behind me with a cargo rack acting as a rear splash guard on my bike, Cro Mo steel frame and oversize tires I ride 28C X 700C on my road bike and 40CX700C on my cross country gravel bike. I don't get passed very often, and when I do get passed...much respect I love them Gatorskin tyres...got a set of 32C X 700C to go on my MASI in the spring to replace those 40C knobbies.
