Well, I did grow a mold in a coffee cup in college one time, and (to be fair it was cool looking) instead of cleaning it, I named it George Michael. I had George Michael a long time. That came out wrong ,but probably until I had to pack to go home for the summer.

I also grew my own kombucha mushroom and like had THAT, so that was cool. I had a cup every day but I did not name the kombucha,. I had no idea it had mild (sparkling and delicious) alcohol content but I drank a cup every morning; it probably helped with the hangovers. Maybe.

Feel free to judge me for that, I'm not sure the sane hang on to coffee mold and name it but like, man, yeah without the cream and sugar, George Michael would never have existed so I can't be trusted except with BLACK coffee.

Y'all can take this many places .LOL I'm sure. Gotta eat. Be back. Heh,

Anna

RIP Neil Peart.
I still miss John Rutsey. The first Rush song I heard floored me.

<3 it.

And Neil, bridging generational gaps, exposing some to a genre previously unknown.

I've cried over a few celebrity losses, but none quite like this one. This one hurts really bad.

"Best I Can"

I've got a livin' that's rough, a future that's tough
You know what I mean
Blankers and boasters, all the bluffers and posers
I'm not into that scene

[Bridge:]
You can tell me that I got no class
Look around, you'll see who's laughin' last
Don't give me speeches 'cause they're oh so droll
Leave me alone, let me rock and roll

[Chorus:]
Got an itchin' to rock, a hate for small talk
I'm funny that way
Got my sights on the stars, won't get that far
But I'll try anyway

I just like to please, I don't like to tease
I'm easy like that
Don't like long rests, I must confess
I'm an impatient cat

[Bridge]

[x2]
I do the best that I can
I'm just what I am
I do the best I can
Well, I know what I am

[Chorus]

Rock and rollin's a scream, makin' millions my dream
Well, I do that a lot
I'll just give it a try, won't let good times pass me by
They're all I've got
- Rush

...and I sincerely doubt even Buddy would have objected Neil sitting in his larger-than-life place.

And the result of his long hiatus, after tragically losing his wife & daughter. Appropriately named, and playing now, here.

Horizon to horizon
Memory written on the wind
Fading away, like an hourglass, grain by grain
Swept away like voices in a hurricane
In a vapor trail

@coldgin96 - you may enjoy this. Lots of KISS stuff, and good stuff at that.

I was at some of the shows he mentions. I saw them backing up Aerosmith and Nugent, twice each. Then I saw them headline at the old Palladium in NYC (14th St & 3rd Ave, if my memory serves).

They never backed anyone up ever again.
